nothing. the storm line fell apart at the county line and now has sprung up at the VA state line. unbelievable. I don't think it's rained since I had new landscaping put in on the 5th. time to fire up the soaker hose again.

highest heat index of the summer today here. it’s windy and cloudy now as the storm rolls in. KMRB fell 15 degrees after the storm hit there.

loved to see all the lightning from this line in the distance.

the core of that warned storm is going to go just south of me (good). the thunder is literally rolling nonstop and there are mammatus clouds overhead (too much lighting to go outside and photograph). and now it’s pouring.

it was in the upper 70s with a dewpoint of 66 when I was out earlier this morning, and currently it's 78/72 with light rain. it's very pleasant out for a change.

I noticed the wind picking up after @WVclimo had said he'd seen very little wind. i think a lot of the damage was from lightning strikes on trees. there was a lightning strike on a substation very close to the apartment building which lost its roof. I wonder if NWS will send a team to investigate what happened in that part of the city--there was also a very large tree down a block or 2 from the apartment building.
