    Looks like 1-3 for Sunday night into Monday and another 1-3 for Tuesday for the coast with more inland.

    Pretty similiar to 0z Euro is a tick colder. It's still below freezing for NYC at 4pm tuesday. A little snow then alot of sleet then rain with a few inches of frozen precip. This is going to turn to be either all snow or a rain event. I doubt we see several hours of sleet.

    Ukie has several inches of snow with a nice thump before temps warm.

    Cmc is very cold to start for the event with moderate to heavy precip with temps below freezing.

    Gfs Sv map shows 4+ for NYC and 2-4 on tropical tidbits map. Mostly sleet and ice then rain

    Latest MJO Plots since some people think winter is over There is more than the MJO for a good pattern but we haven't seen phase 8-1 in over a month.

    Nam has a little snow for Sunday night and then snow/sleet to a little rain with the bigger storm for mid week with a few inches of " frozen precip " for the coast with a little more inland.

    6z para gfs shows several inches for the whole area of snow/sleet and ice . It will all depend on the thump. The earlier the precip gets in the better since there will be cold air in place.

    Models aren't good with warming and also low level cold. It should be interesting to see how it plays out.

    This is turning out to be a classic storm with snow to ice/sleet and rain for the coast with more snow inland.

    Stormvista has 4-6 inches areawide on the 6z euro but most of that is sleet /ice.

    Are you inland? Inland area will do very good with this storm. Even the coast will start as frozen precip.

    6z Nam has precip stsrting off as sleet for the area with not alot of rain afterwards with temps near freezing.

    Ukie has a thump before the rain for the coast and more snow inland. Euro is similiar but warmer with 850s quickly rising but surface temps staying cold.

    It will all depend where the low goes and then transfers. We have a cold airmas in place. I like a few inches before the changeover

    He might be right if the precip comes in earlier than forecasted or the lakes low weakens. We have to watch future model runs to see.

    That might happen but the model shows snow to ice to rain for NYC with 2-4 inches.

    Yep Both models still have rain after the initial light snowfall but the cmc is better with the position of the lakes cutter.

    Meh It's not that bad of a model. Even the almighty Euro flops.

    Gfs sucks in cad events. It's a fact. Cmc is alot colder.
