Mount Joy Snowman

Low of 59 and an absolute light show down here in the middle of the night that led to an additional .65" in the gauge.  Kids slept through but the dogs weren't happy.  Now up to 1.5" over the last few days.

Low of 45 with .02" of additional rainfall.  Time to get socked in the clouds for a few days.

31 when I left the house. It seems like the heaviest totals over the next five days will stay just to our west. Still a beneficial period. 

Low of 39 with .82” of much needed rain. Feels nice and brisk out there with everything greening up. 

A lot of lightning and thunder down this way tonight, to go along with a nice soaking rain. Looks like about 2/3 of an inch so far. Final total in the morning. 

Low of 61 with .01" of rainfall.  Kind of a classic spring week on tap and then it looks like we could turn cold for a few days next week.

Low of 47 and .03” of rain. A nice warm weekend ahead. Should feel nice though with the mix of clouds and breezes.

No problem.  But what @Itstrainingtime said about MDT being noticeably cooler this particular season than surrounding areas was also true and certainly played a role this season.  We'll have to see if that's a discrepancy that plays out again in future years or was more of a one-time deal.

MDT finished -2.2 in average temps for Met Winter. The coldest Met Winter in 10 years.

Lol, MU must be located on a heat island similar to where you & @canderson live. How the heck did MU finish above normal in December & February?

Always remember, MDT compares monthly means to the most recent 30-year climate normal period, whereas MU compares against its entire period of record, leading to MU always having more positive extreme departures.  It's as simple as not being an apples-to-apples comparison. 

Low of 37.  The MJS crystal ball says we finish the month with a mean temp of 47.7, good for a tie with 2020 for the 6th warmest all-time.  Book it.

Low of 26 here.

Low of 44. Solid week on tap with just enough chill in the air to remind us we’re still in March.

Yeah it was. I was expecting more in the gauge but as it stands .24” and a low of 35. Heading to Philly tomorrow for the NCAA wrestling championships. Penn State first team in history to send guys from all ten weights to the quarterfinals. 

36 when I left the house. Without having checked any models, and understanding such an event is extremely unlikely, it would be quite a fitting way for this winter to put a bow on the season by hammering people with an April Fools snowstorm. Why not ha. 

Low of 30. Chilly out there this morning with the breeze blowing. I was underdressed waiting for the train with just a light spring jacket. 

Current temp of 47 is the low.  Only .42" of total pecip here.  Man, those southerly winds were screaming yesterday, had a few friends commenting on just how strong they were and sharing pics of damage.  "Opposite" winds can always wreak a special kind of havoc.

I’ve been using this gauge for a decade, still going strong! Nothing else comes close. 

Low of 35.  National high of 100 at Faith Ranch, TX and low of -6 near MacKay, ID.  Happy Friday, all. 

Low of 39.  Backdoor cold front season is upon us.  Sunday late afternoon potential looks quite.......interesting.

Well hello spring thread. 36 at the house when I left and 28 through the rurals. A perfect ten on tap.

Low of 27. Beautiful days ahead. 

Low of 37 here. Next week looks positively delightful.
