.05” rain today. Maybe the Blue Angels flying overhead all afternoon kept the rain at bay here.
That’s actually solid, enough to keep things damp. Only .01” here from a couple one minute popcorn showers. Loved the mix of sun and clouds though.

After some imposters tried to steal the crown in recent weeks, the rightful kings have returned to their throne, with the national high and low of 109 and 17 occurring at Death Valley and Peter Sinks, respectively.

I remember back in the late 80s .Harrisburg recorded rain 22 days in May. That was also the time that spring that I fertilized my lawn and my mower blew a head gasket. So I was sol on mowing when it wasn't raining. By the time I got the mower fixed I was making hay, the grass was so tall and thick.
My own personal record for days in a month recording measurable precip is 21, done twice, in May of 2019 and March 2020. My fewest is 3 in November of 2023.

Low of 49 with .57” of rainfall. Let’s see if MDT can set a record by staying below 54 all day.

Well under a tenth of an inch down here but the good stuff seems to be on the way.

Rain not withstanding, I just perused the models, and surface temps on Wednesday, per the Euro and the GFS, keep me in the upper 40's for a high temperature. Absurd...
FYI, min max records for MDT for Wed/Thu are 48/54, with both being set in the late 1800s.

Low of 54 and yesterday was my first day without measurable precip since May 11th.

Ended up being nothing too crazy here, with one loud thunder crack, no real wind, and about a quarter inch. Perhaps more later.

Isn't Sunday supposed to be a stellar day?
Yes. Perfection. A little breezy but that should help it feel nice.

Low of 61 with .08" of additional rainfall. Three-day total of 1.52" and monthly total of 5.67". Grass is booming, a little bit of sun later today and it's going to explode.

A new experimental 3k convection model named "GSL MPAS-G" that uses TEMPO microphysics (whatever the heck that means ha, satellite maybe?) has appeared on Pivotal. Anyone familiar?

Low of 58 and 1.38” of total rainfall. Looks like about a half inch of that came from a nice batch moving through between 2-5am. Onward.

What caught me off guard today is the humidity...despite the dark clouds and rainfall, it's sticky!
How ‘bout it. Dews look to stay stuck in the 60s all week and perhaps even pop to near 70 briefly on Friday. Hopefully some relief on the way by late in the day on Saturday, before setting up for a beautiful Sunday.

Third straight day with a low of 49. Added .01” of rainfall to the ledger. Reckon I’ll try and mow and plant some potted flowers today. Onward.
