  1. Furthermore, the CMC and EC now disagree on that beauty of a weekend.
  2. (But we know MDT won’t be 54.) The rest of the area would be 54 and MDT would be 62. But yeah, that xmACIS site is incredible at how easily you can pull that info.
  3. And part of me says, well 54 (the verbatim temperature at MDT on that panel) isn’t that cold, but it’s actually colder than it is at PIT that morning, and although 54 in July has been reached 91 times in MDT’s history, it hasn’t happened in 20 years.
  4. I talked at length about how my wife doesn’t let me run the a/c in May, so you can imagine it’s not exactly set at 68 during the summer.
  5. Well that puts a dent in MDT’s shot at being the 3rd wettest month in history.
  6. One of the last times I opened my windows was back in June on a night when it got down to 45 and I woke up with a cold so bad I got covid tested just in case (yes, I know, the two were unrelated).
  7. Yeah, shameless clickbait on my part. I just love it when I think I’m going to get blasted by a ridge and then it retrogrades and a trough drops down.
  8. Yes, that is true. And just kidding, it ends fantastically!
  9. I’d love to see 80 panels with very little snow in the winter instead of 40. Also this 18z GFS run doesn’t look like it ends well.
  10. Maybe they are. Maybe it’s even cooler at 9z or 10z.
  11. Compared to the out of sync stuff we usually get, it’s pretty solid. That said, I think I’m actually rooting for the Euro, it provides the best break in the humidity and an actual truly cool morning.
  12. @Bubbler86is that model agreement I see RE: the pattern at D9/10? (Granted, the EC is a bit west)
  13. We’re interested in the rain chances at the new official location in extreme northern Dauphin County.
  14. So the Mount Joy rain shadow saved your life?
  15. I believe we had 15 here. Also, August 1995 is Pittsburgh’s hottest month on record since the airport became the official site, and the only month besides July 2020 in the top 10 including the pre-KPIT data. That’s also the last year we hit 100, though that occurred in July.
  16. That said, I’d be willing to let the storm track shift a little east and sacrifice some (not all) of the heat relief if it helps any of yinz that need the rain. Move the runner to second with a sacrifice bunt, if you will.
  17. I’m not expecting 5.9 inches of rain the rest of the month by any stretch. At this point, even average to slightly below average rainfall the rest of the month would cut it for me. What’s more important to me right now is keeping the heat at bay, and this run was satisfying in that regard.
  18. Oh man, it loads up a near-repeat of that pattern in fantasy land. Nothing but net from downtown.
  19. Being between that trough and the massive ridge could be a home run for consistent rain chances, especially for me.
  20. @Bubbler86that is quite the trough on the GFS. Doesn’t provide a ton of relief except maybe NE PA, but the 540 line enters Maine.
  21. Correct. Highmark Stadium, looks roughly like a high school stadium. Perfect venue for a second tier American soccer team, IMO. As you can guess, the season tickets were fairly inexpensive.
  22. Nope, that’s me. A Pittsburgh Riverhounds season ticket holder, as a matter of fact. LOL.
