It’s complicated, and I think I’ve discussed my position on this before. When I say I like severe, I don’t mean I want an EF-5 tornado to rip through downtown Pgh. I like a nice thunderstorm with wind every now and again. Not the kind of wind that snaps large trees in half, but I don’t mind seeing tree branches and limbs laying around after a good storm. Would love to see a tornado in the flesh just once before I die, but not in a populated area and certainly not in my backyard. There are severe weather fans all over these forums and most of them are probably not sociopaths.
What form of weather that I don’t like causes more deaths than any other? I don’t agree with people who like it, but I don’t fault them either. I know no one is rooting for death. Everyone has their preferences.
