  1. the new nam actually shows this now.....maybe, just maybe luck will be on our side today
  2. Yup, only 5 up here for me, but it has become a bit easier....call it radar hallucinations, but I think the radar matches up well with the Herpes model run at 6z, which may put at least western sections of the state into play....and by the looks of the radar, you should be snowing pretty well at the moment
  3. Might be tough pill to swallow as those to our southwest pickup 6-10 inches...lol
  4. I still can't see us being shut out with this...but looking at all of the current guidance, 1-2 inches?
  5. 32.1°/30.9°, 0.8" of snow/sleet and 0.10" ice accretion....currently have a few snowflakes mixed with drizzle
  6. Woke up expecting rain, as it was 32.5 when I went to sleep and raining...woke up to plow flying down the road and it is 31.6 at the moment. Trees are glazed nicely
  7. 0.75" of snow/sleet with a lot of freezing rain, but we are sitting at 31.8 as the precip begins taper off...hopefully we can score a few inches tomorrow afternoon/evening
  8. sleet mixing in now, 25.3°/23°....looks to be about 0.75" couldn't even hit an inch, lol
  9. really cold up state as well....moderate snow, 25.3°/23°...looks like the sleet line is hitting wall in southwest Fairfield county...at least if it can stay sleet, the temps will climb slower than if it were freezing rain.
  10. first 0.25" of the season, temp wetbulbing, now down to 25.6°/22
  11. Still snowing nicely at the Giants game....
  12. Finally flakage here, 26.7/18...You can see the sleet line in NE NJ right now on radar...should be a couple hours of snow now, hopefully we can pile up quickly before the flip
  13. That shifted pretty far south with regards to the mix/snow line...maybe seeing a cooler boundary? We were only suppose to get an inch or 2 here, now that doubled with the recent run...something to watch I guess
  14. nothing but pellets here so far, need some stronger echoes before the warm air takes over or its nothing but sleet for us...on the bright side, air temps are really struggling at the moment 26.3°/17° atm
  15. 26.3/17, snow/sleet/mist mix....really slick out there already, lets go snow!
  16. It clearly has that band developing to the west of that low, if that low is 100ish miles to the east, then it sits right over CT, probably has the right idea of some sort of awesome snow band, but exact location is TBD...
  17. Couple pellets/snow grains falling right now just outside of Danbury as I sit in the parking lot of Target...24 degrees
  18. Lol, Boston, NYC, Philly, and eventually Baltimore will get more than we do
  19. Reggie with the CT hole for 2 runs in a row now....it thinks we "roast" while NJ gets buried, it also thinks that low stalls on the Jersey shore, not sure it actually does that
  20. Nam maxes my temp out tomorrow morning at 33 degrees and has been showing that getting slightly cooler each run....wonder if we are starting to see a cooling surface temp on the models, especially the torchy 12k nam...not going to help with snow here, but would definitely keep what frozen we get on the front end around before the second round starts....
  21. Since everyone is asking and I see you as the snow guru around here, thoughts on this weird snow hole over SWCT? Seems to have been showing up over the past 36 hrs, is this just the models not being able to see the subsistence zones?
  22. Yup, continue to show this now, still 24 hrs from the second round....
  23. That was ugly for a while...If it was 6-12 hours out I would have been more worried, but there was no way that look was going to hold for 24+ hours....can we say 6-10?
  24. Happy Birthday! May we all bust on the high side! 20.4° here, clouds are now rolling in... Perfectly clear calm night to maximize cooling, now locking in the the temps with some clouds.
