  1. Thanks, definitely want to maintain my credibility in the temperature department...lol I planted a few apple trees the other day and the soil was super sandy, the whole way down. Not a rock to be found, amazing to find in SNE...Interesting microclimate for sure
  2. Tell me about it. I am a little OCD with numbers and I am starting to question the Davis. Yesterday I installed it 6 ft off the ground. It is located at the lower edge of the property. Everything is frozen today, so it got below freezing, just not sure about 28 degrees. The location is unique and will be fun this winter, hopefully...
  3. It is only September 21st, I will not turn my heat on, I will not turn my heat on.....28.0 for the low, 28.6 currently and 61 in the house
  4. 36.7/32.5.....way too cold for September 20th down here in SNE
  5. Finally got the Davis setup, temporarily at least until I get the garden built and the anemometer on top of the house....
  6. 39.6/37 atm, going to be well under 30 by morning....cant this stuff wait until the end of October?
  7. I knew it was going to get cold, but not this cold. There goes the growing season it seems....
  8. 49.5/42 here in Radiator City aka Southbury CT...definitely getting frost here in the next few days, hopefully not a killing freeze. Just got in from a walk with the kids, crystal clear skies and only a slight breeze. The air had that frosty feel to it. Trees are just beginning to turn as well...pumpkin spice season has begun!
  9. Looking at the radar, you would think we had a big old rainstorm heading our way......hopefully this isn't the harbinger of things to come this winter.
  10. 38.7 this morning, 2 days in a row that have made it into the upper 30s. Not ready for this cold yet...where is the rain!?!?
  11. 47.5 at 9:17 pm on September 15th...not too bad. I assume the southerly breeze kicks in sometime after midnight, at this rate we will be in the low 30s by morning if this keeps up.
  12. I left the window fans on last night....59 in the house this morning
  13. Ha, yeah I should change that...thanks for the reminder. I see someone a few miles away made it down to 38, so I might not be that far off.
  14. I was in Newtown, moved to Southbury. I sit in a small valley...the soil is really sandy and we have had very little rain, so it is bone dry. That probably aids a bit in the radiating department. I have a 3 year old Vantage Pro 2, so it should be close to reality.
  15. Wow, 37.8 here for the low...my new place radiates so well. I expected low 40s, not upper 30s
  16. Down to 52 here already...I was hoping to keep the pool open for another week or 2, but it doesn't look very warm moving forward. The kids were only in for 20 minutes today, a good sign that things are getting a bit too chilly for swimming. The temp was still 74 this afternoon...
  17. Gorgeous day for a hike today. Can we have days like today until November 15th?
  18. 44.8 will do it here, coldest of the young season so far...
  19. Had a few showers, but the bulk of it looks to remain along the southern most portions of the state....radar looked great first thing this morning, but the heavier echoes just fell apart as they moved north, almost like there was a rain shield in place...lol
  20. Perfect weather, warm enough for the pool during the day, but cool enough by evening to keep the windows open at night....can we have this right through October please?!
  21. Nice steady rainfall here...0.20" in the bucket so far
  22. North of here, right before the crazy winds and power knocked out again...
  23. Yup, I have no time to deal with anymore of that...a nice steady rainfall is fine by me
