  1. That shifted pretty far south with regards to the mix/snow line...maybe seeing a cooler boundary? We were only suppose to get an inch or 2 here, now that doubled with the recent run...something to watch I guess
  2. nothing but pellets here so far, need some stronger echoes before the warm air takes over or its nothing but sleet for us...on the bright side, air temps are really struggling at the moment 26.3°/17° atm
  3. 26.3/17, snow/sleet/mist mix....really slick out there already, lets go snow!
  4. It clearly has that band developing to the west of that low, if that low is 100ish miles to the east, then it sits right over CT, probably has the right idea of some sort of awesome snow band, but exact location is TBD...
  5. Couple pellets/snow grains falling right now just outside of Danbury as I sit in the parking lot of Target...24 degrees
  6. Lol, Boston, NYC, Philly, and eventually Baltimore will get more than we do
  7. Reggie with the CT hole for 2 runs in a row now....it thinks we "roast" while NJ gets buried, it also thinks that low stalls on the Jersey shore, not sure it actually does that
  8. Nam maxes my temp out tomorrow morning at 33 degrees and has been showing that getting slightly cooler each run....wonder if we are starting to see a cooling surface temp on the models, especially the torchy 12k nam...not going to help with snow here, but would definitely keep what frozen we get on the front end around before the second round starts....
  9. Since everyone is asking and I see you as the snow guru around here, thoughts on this weird snow hole over SWCT? Seems to have been showing up over the past 36 hrs, is this just the models not being able to see the subsistence zones?
  10. Yup, continue to show this now, still 24 hrs from the second round....
  11. That was ugly for a while...If it was 6-12 hours out I would have been more worried, but there was no way that look was going to hold for 24+ hours....can we say 6-10?
  12. Happy Birthday! May we all bust on the high side! 20.4° here, clouds are now rolling in... Perfectly clear calm night to maximize cooling, now locking in the the temps with some clouds.
  13. We definitely take that here....best it has looked in over 24 hrs
  14. That blue hole reminds me of what likes to lurk over Alaska, growing in size every model run....yikes
  15. I mean the being in the bullseye 36-48 hours out is never good, we are in the reverse bullseye waiting for the rug to be pulled out, or put back?
  16. That is ugly here, might as well just stick with 2-5 around here and call it a day.....
  17. Looks like that is headed toward us...we might end up doing alright in the end....
  18. Those oranges have been steadily moving eastward in SWCT since this morning....I like the trend, too bad it is the RGEM past 12 hrs...
  19. ouch, no kidding.....just yesterday we were dancing with 12+ on the Euro, now we can't even crack 6 inches...We might need to enjoy our 2-4 tomorrow afternoon.
  20. There is our 8-12 inches from the NWS...now do the Canadians have a clue?
  21. not sure I would do that, but I would definitely take that run and be happy....
  22. It pretty ugly past 39 hours....probably has no clue
  23. lots of 32-34 readings around west of the river, It could just as easily be 30-31 readings with drizzle
