  1. I was only referring to that system in the 8-10 day. Yes the CMC was rains to Maine, but the Euro had a some well timed confluence. Otherwise it would have been the same thing. GFS was snow and ice even down here.
  2. yup, looks similar to the CMC...So we have the SE Ridge flexing warmth and rain back here(CMC/Euro) or a blizzard in the Southeast(GFS). Besides the faux backside snow, we are back to how many ways can we rain and not snow? One of these times we need to flip the script?
  3. In this winter, it will be right...I feel like the Euro OP sort of showed this at 0z. But, if the CMC showed a snowstorm, it will most certainly be incorrect...Especially this year
  4. 1-2 week winter once again, these La Nina's have sucked for us.... Still thinking we luck out with a 15 to 25 inch total
  5. Yeah, definitely a case of I will believe it, when I am shoveling it. However, the past few days have had a horrible look in the 12 to 16 range, now it looks serviceable at least...fingers crossed
  6. GFS with plenty of opportunity after the storm mid next week, hopefully it has a clue....
  7. 39 and rain here, 0.91" yesterday...need to add the pump to the pool and remove more water. Can't believe I had to pay to top it off this summer. Sheesh If it is going to be warm, I wish there would be more sun. My solar production has been quite lousy, even for winter standards.
  8. We might be able to smell the snow from here?
  9. Even the snow Gods are angry...still legit thundering out there, crazy
  10. That last flash and crack rumbled the house...can hardly get that in July
  11. 3 cracks of thunder here, enough have one kid running into the bedroom scared. Wondering why it is thundering in January...
  12. Love the thunderstorms to my SW....pouring out there at the moment, pushing 3/4 of an inch so far...
  13. Is that an actual clipper system moving down from Canada in the long range on the GFS? Haven't seen one like that in quite some time.....Hopefully a sign of some change out there.
  14. good, lets end this please.....they might finally be right this winter season
  15. More like false hope...it will be like our 38⁰ inverted trough a couple weeks ago...
  16. Its like a record low hurricane season that is ruined due to some naked swirl in the middle of the Atlantic, in November.....We will get ours, the end of March, that melts the next day....I think the amazing thing is I haven't even had to shovel. The snow that fell in December came after a warm up. The driveway melted most of the 2.7", the sun took care of the rest.
  17. Regardless of any look at this point...until something shows that forecasting persistence is wrong, I think the assumption should be rain for the most part down here... I am sure once we get some artic air, the storms will disappear and Buffalo will have feet of snow again.
  18. Man this winter sucks....Any signs of life and it reverts right back to garbage for us in SNE. If it snows, great, but at this point it really has been same old story from the start. I find it amazing that we can somehow find a way to snow every other October. But here in the prime of climo season we can't even buy an inch?!!? We have to get lucky just for some snow....lol
  19. At one point I was a bit excited for some 1 inch slush on the backside of this storm. But alas, nada here.....enjoy it up north
  20. That was meant to say there isn't even any piles...my bad I should go to bed earlier
  21. Was driving around your area today, it felt/looked like November. Not a single snowpile to be found, in any shopping center. There are at least some old piles that are hanging on, but nothing to be seen. Definitely not a mid January vibe, thats for sure. Hopefully one of these storms work out. I am sure Buffalo will pick up another 4-6 feet though....
  22. Something has to give, right? 1 week run in February and probably again in early March, 15 to 25 inches will be Southbury's snow total for the season....
  23. Absolutely...there is some cold around too, so maybe it would stick around long enough to enjoy it for longer than 12 hrs
  24. This winter though...covid running through the family as we speak, now one of my kids just tested positive for the flu, definitely only this winter. Sheesh, ready for the spring....
  25. This season, every model that had a snowy run ended up being wrong. Euro, GFS, and the CMC have all had snowy looks from time to time. But the rainiest model almost always verified. Tenure of the season I guess...CMC isn't great down here, but it would quadruple our current season total.
