lol, 15 inches of snow here followed by flooding rains....that would sum up this season pretty well. Just another OP run though, at least a better look today so far, until Dr. No comes in
right where this entire winter is going....Using animal movement from just last night, I had a bobcat, coyote, fox, opossum, and a raccoon ping on the same camera. They think or know spring is here or right around the corner.
A balmy 46⁰ here, off a high of 48⁰ but can feel the cool breeze now. A case of a little too late down here. Best of luck to the north and east, at least I got to bask in 68 degrees yesterday!
climate be changing....might as well get used to it at this point. We will still get our record blizzard in the sea of warmth, but the sea of warmth for the most part is here to stay
I had to pump water out of my pool almost 2 weeks ago, about ready to do it again....last summer I was running my well dry just trying to keep the skimmer operating...figured this was coming, just wish we had some well timed cold air to go with it
Last season was pretty crappy around here, but oddly I have more snow to this date than I had last year....We had warning snows on the 7th of last year which came at a great time to help ease the need to cancel the season in January
Seriously feels like we switched climates with the Pacific Northwest. I have moss growing everywhere right now. Everything is so saturated at the moment.
Outside looking in down here....feels like early April out there today, 44°. Enjoy the snow up north, I guess we could get lucky down here if the low depends earlier, but we know how that typically goes.
Pushing 60⁰ now and barely a cloud in the sky...almost ready for Spring now, screw winter at this point. My boys are tossing baseball in shorts and t-shirts like they are warming up for baseball season, in January....
Something has to give, right? But like you said who knows...I wonder if this region, away from the coast has ever had a single digit season. I lived through a few down in SE PA, but wouldn't think it possible up here.
Point and click yesterday was 54 and mostly sunny today....now it's 49 and mostly cloudy. It is still 36.0 and cloudy here. I could understand it if we had snow melt going on, but seriously? Was hoping for a nice day today
yup my bday fall on a Friday this year....I am sure it will be 70 and raining. I swear it never snows on that day, so we can already forecast that one 2 weeks out
I'm going to continue to use this oak as a forecasting tool. Despite being in a wide open area, 60ish MPH winds, 5 degrees and soon to be January 1st. It still has a majority of it's leaves hanging on. No snow until a majority of the leaves fall off...
Side note, pretty cool to see the ceiling down to about 500 ft here. Clear in the valley, but the top of the hill is socked in dense fog and barely visible. It has been slowly sinking down all morning.
