27.1⁰ here in death valley....covered everything I could. Strawberries and peaches are my biggest concern. Still 30⁰, so will have to wait to uncover. Hope this is the last of this....
32.7⁰ here, a bit worried about Thursday morning....My peaches are pushing the size of nickels already. The early season warmup got things started pretty early, looks like early June out there atm..
yeah, despite the clouds and breeze, temp is up to 59° but the air has a different feel to it compared to the past week. Almost too warm for a hoodie, despite the lack of sun and temp. Makes for great outdoor work....
it was beautiful this morning, but the clouds have rolled back in with a beeze. Temp shot up to 55°, but feels chilly without the sun....should be a great weekend
I spot seeded with it last year and bought a few more bags this year. The areas from last year look great, and way better than the rest of the lawn. Nitrogen fixing ftw.....
Going to be a cold night tonight...clear, calm and already down to 47⁰. Covering the flowering fruit trees, strawberries, and asparagus, hoping for the best
Our peach flowers are just beginning to wither now (may need to cover the next couple of nights). The early apples are beginning to pop open. Everything was/is really early this year. We lost all of our peaches last year, due to late freezes. We even picked our first few asparagus stalks...
46⁰ for a low after 90⁰ yesterday...
Anyone know what created this sky, this morning? I would think planes, but it was odd to show up on satellite so large.
This entire season reminds me of what it was like living in southeastern PA. In the end I still ended up with close to 12ish inches here and still better than a few years living down there, but it just felt like there was never a legitimate threat besides and advisory system. I barely used a shovel...just felt odd, living here in SNE....
