  1. 984 mb low into SW Michigan is not going to bode well for most of SNE besides some frozen early on....who knows, maybe it doesn't have a clue at this point
  2. CMC has a warm layer around 800 mb, around 12z Saturday.. .otherwise the column is pretty chilly even down here. Hopefully it is right, it bodes well for those to our north.
  3. 5.0" here in the NW portion of Southbury, CT @The 4 Seasons Temp above freezing now, so not expecting much more
  4. Ha, yes they are...there is a warm layer around 800, sleet at the height...mostly snow for northern CT here it is like a few inches, sleet, then ends as some snow
  5. Couple inches of snow, followed by a ton of sleet....main low makes it to Ohio, second develops south of long island....
  6. The CMC seems to be pretty stable over the past couple of days, maybe it has the right idea. GFS is pretty similar...
  7. Back edge from round 1 racing in here, spotty looking until the stuff from PA pushes in.
  8. Legit heavy snow now, probably the first of the season...temp down to 31.5⁰ Probably pushing a half inch already
  9. Flakes flying, already coating some surfaces...quite windy as well, 34.0⁰/23⁰
  10. Ha, fair enough...I also agree, but the blues aren't as exciting as purples and pinks...Lol Snow has actually started flying here, quite windy too, wasn't expecting that. 34/23 atm
  11. Anyone want to throw up a Euro snow map, just so we can bash it tomorrow if it ends up way too high, or hopefully too conservative!
  12. impressive as it was impressive @12z....surprises coming with all of that convection out west?
  13. 4-8 followed by sleet, then some light rain...should help solidify a bit at least...something that doesn't all get washed away would be alright
  14. Still drove a secondary under us in the end....it was close and wouldn't take much to keep us all frozen down here. Assuming the Euro has close to the right idea.
  15. Still waiting for one of those monster storms that track over eastern sections, leaving us under heavy wet snow, not sure I have experienced one of those yet since I moved here in late 2014
  16. Beautiful day out, 40⁰ off a low of 15⁰ under clear skies....can feel the soon to be March sun doing its work
  17. I know, it's just become instinctive to expect lower than forecasted numbers since we have almost always underperformed in recent years. Hopefully that streak starts now and heads into next winter.
  18. The SWCT minimum starting to show up as we get closer to gametime, not saying it is correct, as the 6z Euro looked great around here. But this season's way of finding ways to produce little to no snow around here is quite impressive.
  19. Yes they will...looks like the futility talk around here should be over by tomorrow at this time.
  20. Even worried a bit here....the valley here is quite small, but definitely a storm where I might have 4 inches and Luke 5 minutes away will have 6 or 7. I will take whatever we can get as this season no one can be picky...
  21. Love the Southbury snow hole there, they know. At least there seems to be no red flags at this point....we actually have some wiggle room for a change.
  22. 36-48 hrs hours out and most of the guidance at 12z has a general 4-8/6-10 for the entire state. Hopefully, not much fluctuation from here on out, even a tick or 2 north and we should still do pretty well. I just had my second largest snowfall yesterday of 0.5". This one should Hopefully, at least double the seasonal snowfall here....
  23. Love seeing the high pressure North of Maine getting stronger as the low is pushing towards it. Should make for some fun times in between. Hopefully we are all on the wintry side of it...
  24. Looks active too...see how Monday night goes for us down here, if the rug gets pulled for even us, it might be hard to trust any look. If that is even possible after this season. Even yesterday's half inch felt good, so there is that at least.
