  1. I spot seeded with it last year and bought a few more bags this year. The areas from last year look great, and way better than the rest of the lawn. Nitrogen fixing ftw.....
  2. Going to be a cold night tonight...clear, calm and already down to 47⁰. Covering the flowering fruit trees, strawberries, and asparagus, hoping for the best
  3. Our peach flowers are just beginning to wither now (may need to cover the next couple of nights). The early apples are beginning to pop open. Everything was/is really early this year. We lost all of our peaches last year, due to late freezes. We even picked our first few asparagus stalks...
  4. 92.1°, low humidity at least.....
  5. 84⁰ @11 am, 3 degrees ahead of yesterday's 90⁰ high
  6. airlines playing tick tack toe....
  7. 46⁰ for a low after 90⁰ yesterday... Anyone know what created this sky, this morning? I would think planes, but it was odd to show up on satellite so large.
  8. What a swing for the day here....legit cold this morning
  9. 81.7⁰ @ 11:11 am...too early for this And it was 41.9⁰ this morning
  10. 76⁰/18⁰, skin dry as a desert, especially with the gusty winds....
  11. Same thing here yesterday, unreal swing in temps. This dry air is unreal, what is this, the desert?
  12. And brought me 21⁰....enough of this garbage now
  13. The wind is obnoxious right now....felt warmer at 730 with now wind than it does right now....
  14. The lawns never had a chance....
  15. 77.3⁰/59, nice.....ticks are out in full force
  16. 75/59 right now.....almost too warm, lol
  17. Popped all the windows open, sun peaking through and the temps are already pushing 60...feels a bit muggy too
  18. This entire season reminds me of what it was like living in southeastern PA. In the end I still ended up with close to 12ish inches here and still better than a few years living down there, but it just felt like there was never a legitimate threat besides and advisory system. I barely used a shovel...just felt odd, living here in SNE....
  19. Great day though once the sun came out. You could tell there wasn't anything happening once the breeze kicked up and it felt cool and dry.
  20. 61⁰ here, feels muggy already....sun has peaked out from time to time and when it does, it is almost hot...
  21. Thanks for your organic/natural tips. I have always gone the natural/organic route and my yard was always nicer than the yards that paid service companies to maintain their yards. My new property is almost all sand, so no matter what I do, the grass goes dormant the second July roles in, unless it rains constantly. Would love to try the purely organics, but milorganite seems to keep the deer and other critters out of the yard. Thus less ticks overall. Tons of grubs here and have been meaning to try that product, glad you have had success. We are adding a pool house and patio next month, which will require heavy machinery and tons of dirt, so the yard will have to wait until that disaster is over....
  22. Couple flashes of lightning, most excitement this whole winter....
  23. it is amazing how much just phone and internet cost, God forbid you wanna watch something on TV. Health/car/renters/insurance alone is ridiculous compared to what is was just 15 years ago. If of course you could afford a used car to drive and pay insurance. The simple things that we took for granted not too long ago is pushing luxury territory as we speak....
  24. We bought back in August of 2020, with the property values where they are now/interest rates and almost needing 20% down we wouldn't be able to afford our very basic 4 bdrm 2.5 bath colonial almost 3 years later. Interest rates/value increase with the same percent down, our payment would increase almost 2 grand per month. No one wants affordable housing near them, they fear it will bring out the worst in people and just want it somewhere else. Issue is, where do all the college graduates go? Right back home until their salaries can cover school loans/rent/food. It is amazing that in a lot of states, the minimum wage is basically what it was back when I graduated college back in 2005 when everything else has increased substantially.... All the new houses around here are pushing 500k, how does the majority afford that?
