  1. Landphoon with an eye like feature near Reading?
  2. Radarscope shows alot of hail reports to the SW of the area
  3. Impressive look to the radar south of Long Island, see if that holds together. If so, should ring in the new year with some pretty good natural fireworks...
  4. Sadly, what ever it is, CC? Any favorable looks end up being straight up cold/dry or the infamous cold/dry, warm/wet routine...We don't even get the storm as the block relaxes anymore....
  5. I remember living in Delaware during the 2009-10 season. Watching the confluence get weaker within 72 hrs to allow the precip shield to come further north on multiple events. In one event I recall it was too much and we ended up with a tainted mess instead of a snowstorm. Hopefully that is what we are doing here in SNE this time around....
  6. 0⁰ in Atlanta while the Hudson Bay region is above freezing....I guess we will be hearing the media talking about the polar vortex non stop for the coming weeks if that pans out that way.
  7. Wow, really radiated last night, 6.6⁰ currently....probably would have been below zero if we had a few more inches of snow on the ground.
  8. 0.9" of fluff...sun popping out now. Going to vaporize shortly, but beautiful right now 25.7⁰
  9. 0.5" or so, just some light to moderate falling right now, located in the far western finger of New Haven County
  10. Yup, already down to 5.4⁰....going to be close to zero by midnight at this rate
  11. Finished up with 1.6" after the light snow early this morning. Regardless of the snow, might be able to go below zero here Sunday night on a clear calm night. First time in almost 2 years. Great December for this neck of the woods, hoping WOR crowd can regain some dominance after a lack luster half decade or so...currently 27.3⁰
  12. Yup, have to say December by no means was it amazing, but a decent month, for December anyway around here....kinda felt like a winter month for a change. 7.2" so far for the month and season.
  13. Just finished snowing, had a good 2 hours of steady, light and fluffy snow. Looks like we added another half inch, so 1 inch total....maybe some more light snow toward morning, 30.4⁰ currently
  14. It was fun while it lasted, maybe 0.5"? 31.5⁰ atm Nice to see some snow at least, might be the snowiest December since I moved here, outside of a single big storm....I guess a win from that angle at least, good luck out to the east
  15. Radar trends say it stays mainly SE of my area...
  16. Coating here on cooler surfaces....hopefully this weenie band can over perform before it lifts out. I mean it did in the floods in August?
  17. Just started spitting snow here in Southbury....32.7/24 atm
  18. I routinely played 2 sports, those quickly took a back seat....what ever happened to rec sports? Practice 1x week and a game on a weekend, those were the best...
  19. Early 40s here with 4 kids, love having the big family, chaos all the time for sure. But life doesn't start getting crazy until the first 3 are all in a travel sport, at the same time.... Damp, non snowy winters are the worse...need to send those kids outside or they will destroy your house.
  20. If I recall most models had us too warm around here for Monday morning, even 12-24 hrs before go time. Definitely underestimated the cold, maybe they will be off again, but who knows at this point.
  21. No drifts for this guy yet, but he doesn't want to leave the snow regardless of how much is out there...runs around eating snowflakes as they fall from the sky
  22. Ended up with 3.6", i was up at 1 am, it was just starting, so must have really come down between 130 and 5....might have even had a bit more, as it was already melting when I measured...the hrrr even as the snow was falling only had less than an inch for here. Love those small positive surprises, reminds me of my younger days when we didnt have so many models to look at....
  23. Sort of reminds me of what last night/this morning's little system looked like.....Cold air held in nicely for a change, gave us mostly snow around here. A few days ago, it looked like mostly 35 degree rain.
  24. In all honestly I almost ignored last night's wintry weather, looking ahead to Friday/Saturday ordeal and last night ended up being my 4th biggest "storm" in almost the last 2.5 years. Slow things down and just enjoy one day at a time I guess......
  25. With all the weather models available that come out 2-4x daily plus the Euro going out to 360 hrs, I think days become a blur waiting for the next models. By the time the last one finished up with the ensembles, the next is ready to go....time definitely flies by to me. Need boring weather I guess to slow down time, ha!
