  1. Temperature went from 81 to 75 in about 4 minutes, from 6:58 to 7:02, interesting to see an near instantaneous drop in temperature like that
  2. Quite a quick mover, but had some nice gusts here probably into the upper 30s to 40s and decent light show as well.
  3. 88/73 for the high here today, not exactly sweltering but still hot out... Peak so far this year was 91 both back in May and last Tuesday.... Also first severe t storm watch this far east this year, all the others so far were cut off at the queens nassau border
  4. Only 89 for the high today here. Such is life on the south shore. Now I'm going to go vicariously watch that storm on the north shore from my backyard
  5. 91/75 for the high today, compared to 86 yesterday.
  6. 87/69 right now, only 0.04" of rain yesterday, let's see if I can beat that today
  7. Damn this storms a slow mover. Chances it makes it to the Nassau/Suffolk border over or under 50%?
  8. Hit 88 for the high here, around 2 pm
  9. Pretty wicked storm earlier despite the lack of heat, winds gusted up to 50 here and i even got some pea sized hail
  10. The seabreeze is doing its job, only 73 here
  11. There is no reason not to really, me on the south shore of suffolk county should not be getting readings equal or higher than NYC (except maybe in winter)
  12. Disgustingly hot in my house, me and my dad haven't put the air conditioners in yet
  13. Temp is already up to 80F here on the coast, high yesterday was 79
  14. I hope it stays dry (as in low dewpoints i dont mind rain), I got a job stocking the garden section in a home depot and if we have high dews like last summer I'll probably die in July
  15. I'll go with 20/7/4 with an ACE of 149, something similar to 2008 but with a few extra crappers
  16. Strongest gusts around here in SW Suffolk have been in the mid 40s for the most part, with maybe a few close to 50. We had a brief shower earlier which brought the strongest winds of the day with it, while also dropping temperature around 10 degrees (67 to 58 here)
  17. Only 65 for the high here today, mostly due to the southerly breeze. Still a nice day though
  18. 67F with a dewpoint of only 21 right now imby
  19. Only a high of 35 here today, amazing swing in temps in the past week or so
  20. Picked up about .76" of rain this morning, I don't think I'll reach an inch today but we'll see. Stongest gusts so far have been in the 25-30 mph range. My anemometer is in a new spot now on the roof of my parents garage, it used to be on the roof of my aunt and uncles house, which was on the water, had no trees around, and was taller so i usually got great wind measurements there. Friday was the first test and it had a gust of 41 mph (probably wouldve had something around 50 mph at the old location) so maybe it'll beat that later
  21. Republic airport in farmingdale gusted to 51 mph at the latest hourly observation, we probably have peaked at around 50-55 mph here in Lindenhurst as well, judging by how strong the wind seems. I live right under the flight path to one of the runways at Republic and there have been quite a few go arounds today
  22. Hit 82 here for the high, dropped slightly to 79 now. It isn't often you get temperatures like this with gusts 40-45 mph, nevermind it being in march
  23. I was at 56 a little after 12 pm, my thermometer is saying 82 now. Is it broken or something? Lol. I swear it was literally below 70 at 4pm
  24. Was really nice today early on, had a high of 64 here. Now it's foggy as hell out, visibility was from a .25 mile to maybe as low as a tenth of a mile when I was driving home from work around 7pm
