Very strong storm this afternoon. 40+ mph winds lots of lightning and significant rainfall. Picked up 0.91” in a very short period

0.19” of very welcomed rainfall today

That was the most severe storm I’ve seen in a long time. Marble sized hail and easily 50 mph gust accompanying the heaviest rain/hail. Abrupt wind change too, definitely a super cell. Hopefully @eyewall got the drone up

Any semblance of a drought here has been busted the past few weeks. 0.60” of moderate steady rain since last night with plenty more to come today. This is setting us up well for the summer

Seeing major wind damage reports showing up around Greenville (NC) and points west with that line of storms that just went through. NWS text called it an extremely dangerous situation with tornado like wind speeds too.
