  1. Greenville, ME at 43 right now. Woodstove cranking at my house, ac was on yesterday
  2. 47 and rain, off a high of 91 yesterday. Crazy
  3. That's awesome. Some of the tribs around here are running close to Irene heights. I've never seen the Little Andro gauge above 3000 cfs but it broke it easily yesterday, almost hit 4000, and is still above 1000.
  4. My road was "repaved" and had the drainage "improved" last fall. It's already undermined severely in multiple places, started in December. Maine DOT and municipalities need to wake up to the reality, instead it's just bang your head against a wall and build the same stuff over and over.
  5. Lots of damage throughout Western Maine. This exposed a lot of undersized infrastructure. Some culverts that were fixed after the December deluge washed out again.
  6. Must be heavy elevation dependent. Cams from Marquette, Houghton, etc. are snowing but not close to 20" https://www.lakesuperior.com/cams.html
  7. Melting out fast on the rock pile but was able to connect the snowfields down to the floor of the ravine via the chute on Friday. I’d say things are 10-14 days ahead of schedule on the hill. .
  8. unpopular opinion but this album was better than astronaut.
  9. renting a plug aerator this weekend cause my lawn has taken an absolute beating over the last 3-4 seasons of drought in western Maine. Lots of compaction and the top layer in spots just looks like sand. Anything I should consider before letting her rip?
  10. Stump shot glade. Love all that steep terrain around gondi line etc. Another fantastic day at loaf. Low clouds never made it up to the valley although you could see them just to the south. Today might have been warmer and calmer than yesterday. Just an unreal weekend up there!
  11. Trees still skiing great at loaf. .
  12. This is what I love about weather in the NE. Any given year mid April could be 90 or it could snow a foot. I’m headed to Loaf for the weekend with skis on roof rack in shorts and flip flops.
  13. What a torch. Wonder if this will be our biggest relative to climo for 2023.
  14. No changes. We torch while the west freezes. The high in SLC is easily 20 below average today while BDL pops double digit warm records. Hopefully this nonsense ends before next winter.
  15. But is it making its own cold air?
  16. LCC has been closed for two days. Had my best day in 30 years on skis yesterday at solitude where we’ve gotten a more modest 34” of snow since Sunday. We got “country club” skiing yesterday for the first hour and half as the canyon road opened up. Blower Utah powder on an empty mountain like you read about. Insane. Today both canyons are closed for avy mitigation and the resorts are closed, but tomorrow when things open back up we should be skiing another 12” of dry powder that fell overnight. Here’s a pic of current status from our cabin in the canyon. That’s the neighbors place from our second story deck. .
  17. I just heard from my buddy who works at solitude that mountain ops think this next cycle will be the biggest of this historic season. They think 70” is possible. I’m not even sure if solitude/Brighton will be able to open in that case but I’m pumped to experience whatever comes next!
  18. Just got to big cottonwood canyon. The snow here is ridiculous, I’ve never experienced anything like it. As much as 3.5” qpf will fall here between tonight and Tuesday. I know it’s not New England weather but I’ll post some photos over the next few days so other folks can weenie out. .
  19. Nice. Not sure what the tetons are forecasted but NWS predicting over 50" of snow for central wasatch monday-wednesday. record cold temps for wyoming and utah as well.
