  1. Yes, take it with a grain of salt for now. We still have five days to go. Within 60 hours, I'll be more interested. Better to not over-hype now and be disappointed later on...
  2. The sun, when it's out, feels great. The wind, not so much. At least it is drying the car covers.
  3. I saw that too... definitely should keep an eye out on the 24th-26th in the long run.
  4. Planned out a nice 270 mile road trip for this weekend. If only there were some car shows I could participate in January.
  5. This weekend looks fun (at least Saturday) Maybe I can take the top off for the day.
  6. No snow here, but radar estimates over an inch of QPF in central Ocean County
  7. That initial rain is really screwing the Jersey Shore. By the time we change to snow, the heaviest precip will be out of here. Go 15 miles inland, it's a different story
  8. I'm thinking a 5:1 or 6:1 liquid-snow ratio down here in Jersey.
  9. A few icy spots this morning. I found that out the hard way walking to the car this morning. It has rained here 13 out of the last 17 days this month. I'm completely happy with it being dry for the next five or so days.
  10. Good morning. Light rain down here. 45 out. Should warm into the 50's, maybe approaching near 60 later today. Stay safe out on the roads.
  11. I haven't been following, but best of luck for snow for y'all. Probably all rain here, maybe a few flakes, but confident it stays as rain here.
  12. A grand total of 1.2". Just enough to make the trees look pretty.
  13. Like I said before... air temperature won't be much of a problem. If the ground surfaces are above freezing, then nothing will accumulate, say for car roofs. IMO, the snow will accumulate. It's a matter of how quickly that happens once we switch to snow. In other words... that thermometer I had buried died, and I forget where I put it.
  14. 12z GEM lol. Would be a nice hit for everyone
  15. Just my $0.02, but I don't think much of us get much accumulation, maybe an inch or two in the higher elevations. As far as I see, we hover around 31-35. And if we saw what happened last Monday, we need some decent rates to get accumulating snow. Add in that It will be near 60 on Tuesday, and the ground will probably still be warmer than the air, at least for the start of snow.
  16. If I didn't have classes today I'd take a ride out to Island Beach State Park
  17. Picking up pretty well here too. Just curious to know if anyone gets their wind observations from this site: https://www.sailflow.com/map#40.573,-73.96,9,1,!43532 I use this a lot when sailing and it has proven quite reliable to me.
  18. We've been sitting here at 33 since at least 5 pm. Ground temp is to 33 according to the sensor buried somewhere in my yard where I forget where I put it.
  19. Here's a picture by the waterfront in the last band we got here. I love the reflection on the flakes from the camera flash. I wish we could upload videos as I have a really nice one but it's 40+mb in size.
  20. I keep getting in these narrow little bands that give a nice 5-10 minute burst of snow then back to flurries again
