    Hoping everyone made it through ok. I just got my power restored. Almost 24hrs w/o power. Got 1.03" in about 20 minutes. Rainfall @ 3"/min. Other than some branches down, Trees around here are ok.

    Last night/morning green radar only netted me .12".

    Radar shows that I'm enveloped in greens and yellows, but nary a drop inside the beltway.

    This one packed a strong, early punch. Picked up .93" in 15 minutes. Then it slowed down. Total=1.08"

    Picked up a quick .22 in S. Arlington.

    I was in that. Pretty strong. picked up 1.91" in an hour IMBY.

    Looking out to VA from the National Harbor. This was about 3:30 today.

    To the west of the FFX Falls church cell. Hear lots of thunder, but no big rain yet. just .06 and slowing down for the past 20 mins.

    At one point rainfall rate was 2" hour. Seemed like some training action developed over the beltway. Picked up 1.3" in about an hour ttl.

    Nice wind, T&L show. Didn't seem like that much rain, but still coming down lightly. Will report on totals later.

    This the kind of rain that helps in times of a moderate drought. Slow steady that doesn't flood people out. Stretching over several days.

    Gauge says .52" with probably a little more before this ends. Might be able to salvage the afternoon hours.

    A nice little cell swept by us. about .55" in half an hour. My lawn appreciates it.

    Euro has us getting a little over 2" for us through Monday (entire rain event). GFS slightly under that. If it's spread out over the entire time, should be a nice soaker.

    Me, too. Got .93 in 20 minutes. That's 3"/hr roughly. Luckily it only lasted for 20 mins. Did anyone call this?

    I got 2.99 overnight. I think DCA got 4". It's been so dry that my lawn soaked it all up. Nary a stream by the storm drain by the side of my house.

    I can't really remember storms training down directly North to South.

    DC rain shield? This storm coming in from the west looks like it is touching the beltway and doing straight down, southward turn.

    Picked up a quick .24 in about 20 minutes here in S. Arlington. Getting sunlight now so maybe more firing up?
