  6. As has been discussed ad nauseam, the high is in the historical exact place for NC snowstorms. It's becoming tiresome to hear mets parrot this falsehood. Hr. 66 GFS: Eastern NC getting absolutely pummeled.

  8. The point being that cold transport can work. 1989 cold followed days after the snow began.
  9. Both the 1973 and 1989 coastal N.C. snowstorms featured high pressure near South Dakota/Iowa. FYI.

  15. Both Euro and GFS seem to be targeting just north of ILM for Thursday. Actually good consistency in showing frozen there.
  16. They're accurate when they show us with no snow -- 100%.
