Only managed 1 day at or above 90 in the Twin Cities during this stretch.

High of 87 today. There are now 3 large fires burning out of control in northern Minnesota. Super weird seeing photos of large wildfires before leaf out has taken place.

Nope. I’m a lifer here, wife is from Plymouth MN. If I had my way we’d move to Duluth or north, but that is not a battle i’m winning until the kids are grown.

Our yard is so small and with two kids I want to maximize space for them to play and have a garden, so no trees back there. I’ve got a couple sugar maples in front and the Norway Spruces are right against the fence. Hopefully in a couple years we’ll move out to the suburbs and have a lot of space for tree planting.

Ditto. Northern boreal transition forests are my favorite. My neighbors Norway spruce puts off a handful of saplings in my yard every spring. Want me to ship you some?

Impressive considering we got down to 58 at MSP. The heat island capital of the Midwest.

We’ve reached 90 at MSP. Setting a new record high for today. There is a 200 acre wildfire burning north of @Brian Din Brimson MN. With the conditions the next few days it could get out of hand quickly if not contained.

Today is the last windows open day for awhile. The AC will likely be turned on for the first time this year during this upcoming hot stretch. Tomorrows record high is 88 which is also the forecast high. My gut says we hit 90 everyday Sun-Wed

Basically a July temperature forecast here. Can’t even muster up any precipitation, drought starting earlier this year.

Extended looks wonderful here from a temperature perspective. We could use some precipitation. 5.48” since January 1st and daily averages are rising quickly.

Fail for the metro unless stuff fires real soon. Got a decent downpour in north Minneapolis this morning but the airport only reported 0.01”

Dews in the 50s for the first time this year. Approaching line of storms. We are back.

I usually don’t get excited at these hyped up severe outbreaks but tomorrow really looks like the real deal around here.

Upper 40s and rainy this afternoon in Minneapolis. The median date for the first 80 of the year in Minneapolis is fast approaching on May 1st. Unless Monday overachieves it’s going to be later this year.

This is the time of year we have better weather in Minnesota then lakeshore areas of Chicagoland. Near 70 yesterday and today. Absolutely perfect spring weather. Starting to see some buds really swell on trees here.

There were many weeks this winter where my yard was white but the airport was reporting “T” for snow depth. Not enough snow to do anything with, but it still looked and felt like winter. My airline pilot father used to say that Mother Nature will always have a reversion to the mean. -

I’ll throw a C- grade at this winter. Lacked snowfall, but with sustained seasonal cold the ground was white and the lakes were frozen all winter. Had a couple decent storms. 5.5” on 12/19 and 9.5” on 3/5. I think we are still paying for the epic 22/23 winter.
