@WxWatcher007...all those photos and videos are amazing, thanks for sharing that experience! Takes me back to when I was in northeast Ohio growing up, all those lake effect storms. We didn't have anything like what the Buffalo area is getting now, but I know you can easily get several inches within a couple of hours from those lake bands. And it was crazy how you could drive from the downtown Cleveland area or the west side of town where it was cold and mostly clear and some snow on the ground...to a blizzard and whiteout just southeast and east of town.

So it appears the word of this winter is...RELOAD!!! It's like AMPED from years ago for the January 2016 blizzard. Maybe we need @stormtracker to do what he did before, automatically change "reload" to "randytastic" whenever anyone used that term (I think that's what he did for "amped" back in 2016)!

Hey @Bob Chill! Congrats on the new place and good luck with the move! I know what a pain that can be. Just moved myself recently, now in north Bethesda/southern Rockville (would that be "upper Bethesda" or "lower Rockville"?? ). But once you're done, I'm sure it will be a huge relief! I guess with building the house, I can see why you would be hoping for a warmer winter!

Well, honestly, we could use the rain for sure. A good 2-4" swath area-wide would help, and perhaps not be overwhelming.

Too early in the season to queue up the "Jaws" music I suppose...but here's hoping you have many opportunities to do so as we get into winter!!

I think the Cleveland Guardians (my home town team!) is one of the only teams that actually plays mostly small-ball these days. They don't have a lot of HR power, so this is kind of by design. This season they were quite good at getting runners on base and moving them around, not relying on the home run for everything. Even though they didn't win the ALDS vs. the Yankees, you could see how effectively they used that in that series, and they certainly gave the Yanks a scare!

And some early morning autumn fog the other day. Black and white made it feel more "mysterious."
