HRRR is most closely matching up to real time radar trends. Take a look at the radar for western NC, the HRRR sniffed out the virga storm first for this region.
Ceiling has lowered quite a bit. I’m hoping this is an early indication that we’re in for a fun day because this all looks like upslope enhancement to me. As much as that soaks us most storms, I think we deserve it for this one!
What I keep seeing consistently in the models is that there is going to be some sort of narrow corridor that’s typical of a southern slider that’s going to over perform greatly. Seems like there’s two camps:
1. Forest City to just west of Salisbury
2. @wncsnowto Statesvegas and High Point
