    Nam, the driest model is shifting west. Now has 6-8 inches here where it had almost nothing last night.

    It gets the 6 inch line close to RIC. Ensemble also got better totals to RIC.

    Maybe the east/weak trend is ending. 18Z ICON while not seen as a great model has reversed its trend and is stronger with more precip. Not over in RIC yet. The west trend has begun Ukie and euro far better this evening

    I can only hope a small better trend starts soon. And yea, what happened to the arctic front snow?

    Snowmobile cancel. If we end up with a coating it will be the best snow in several years.

    I think it will end up 4-6 for richmond. This always happens. We rarely see the models show big snow without change for days. The 06Z Euro is very similar to the 0Z. 4-6 looks good for RIC.

    Whatever ends up happening this is the best set-up possible for this area. Arctic front stalls to our SE and then we wait to see if a strong enough low can bring us a good snow. W e may still whiff but at least this is far better than the last low.

    Looks to me like i was way low on my snowfall forecast. Couple more small east adjustments and DC will add a foot to what they have already.

    With DC getting 8-12 with this one my season forecast totals will be too low.

    This winter will be a snowy mess starting in January.

    I borrowed this from JB. Dec 1984, 1993, 2013 had had very warm temps and this is the January that followed. Lots of big snow coming.
