  1. JFK 68 degrees, definitely the warmest and nicest day of the entire winter. I hope we get this kind of wind direction in the summer
  2. You've got to talk to the lady and ask her how far she is willing to go. You said she's open to moving north right? But not that far north? If you can't get that far north getting into higher elevations is a suitable substitute.
  3. thats a good idea, I see that the city has some plans to do this by 2030 with 30% more green, and the extra benefit is more healthy, fresh food.
  4. then theres Jan 1994 and VD 2007 which are all frozen everywhere (in our local region anyway) it's simply a matter of chance where that frozen line sets up
  5. No it's not...it's the truth about LATITUDE! The further north you are the more snow you will normally get lol. I can't believe you would be surprised by this.
  6. Is this going to be the warmest day of the entire winter? Met winter, I mean.
  7. its mostly lake effect though....Syracuse is a nice mix of everything
  8. we need to get rid of concrete not add more
  9. Brooklyn and Queens are actually part of Long Island and they got similar totals in those storms to what Nassau County got.
  10. lol I have my own definitions under 1" coating 1-3" light 3-6" moderate 6-10" significant 10-20" major 20"+ historic 30"+ biblical
  11. but we have scenarios like Jan 1994 and VD 2007 where JFK stays below freezing and east of Oceanside goes above.
  12. and how does FOK have so much more than JFK? JFK is further west, we're usually colder than FOK on east winds. I do know our ZR and snow lasts longer
  13. lol how does FOK get over 2" when it's right on the beach basically and sticking out into the ocean?
  14. Oh yes you have some work to do. I need about 5 inches to get to average (using JFK numbers) Based on my own record keeping it's already near average here maybe 2-3 inches short.
  15. Is there a storm coming right after that showing up on the Euro? March 2nd seems to be showing up on some models.
  16. Oh the March 2nd storm is back lol
  17. this looks to be a month where we get some accumulating snow but no big snowstorms. We'll be lucky to get a 6" snowstorm....this looks like a few 1-3 or 2-4 events. I dont think we will get to double digit snowfall in March. Maybe near average snowfall. Does anyone actually like snow changing to rain scenarios? I dont....it might as well be all rain or just be sunny and warm in that case.
  18. why cant the SE Ridge flex and bring us that snowstorm Sunday into Monday? Thats like a bully, it disappears when a storm is about to come and comes back when the storm goes away.
  19. think about what it would've been like on this forum in 1993-94 from December thru March lol 2 storms every week 30 total storms
  20. Maybe more info on that possible snow event coming for early next week in future updates, Don?
  21. more like bring out the wood chipper, young man
