  1. I remember that! It stuck in the Poconos! None of that stuck down here did it?
  2. Same here not quite heavy but falling at a decent clip and the winds are really howling
  3. It makes me wonder how April 7, 2003 and April 2, 2018 worked out so well...much harder rates than this?
  4. I actually wonder what the worst winter at Mt Pocono was, the climate is a lot different from Scranton so the local TV stations don't really cover it too well. Lowest snowfall total at MPO...I wonder if they ever got less than 20"?
  5. at least it shows that elevation can see some good snow even when no one else within 100 miles does lol
  6. with the wind blowing it's actually making it look quite wintry....until you look at the ground lol
  7. Yeah I got a lot more (8") from the storm last weekend. In Carbon County near Lake Harmony, I've got the same elevation (around 2,200') as you but not the latitude lol.
  8. Heard the threshold for power outages is 4" as long as you get less than 4" of wet snow, then you probably don't have to worry about the power going out.
  9. Yup that makes it feel wintry. Maybe it'll stick around until 10 or so to get the grass to get a coating too.
  10. so there's dual lows with this, one going right into Central CT (which is why it's raining in Boston and Rhode Island with temps in the low 40s) and the other one well east of the Cape?
  11. it's been flurrying here too, but of course nothing accumulating
  12. There were some good numbers put up showing that the only winters that had significant snows beyond March 24th were winters that had been colder/snowier than normal already. So there has to be a residual build up of cold air on our side of the globe to get late season snowfalls.
  13. Basically the last three months have averaged 42 degrees
  14. wow only 1-3 inches in the Poconos? that forecast for MPO is going to bust big time!
  15. sounds like The Time Machine
  16. Don could it be that today's the last day with a high of 39 or lower?
  17. I guess that means Hazleton and nearby areas are done with their snowfall?
  18. Don I see you hinted at colder weather returning after this weekend, do you see more snowfall opportunities on the horizon after this one?
  19. 6-8 for MPO sounds about right and my place is right under that 6 inch dark blue to yellow border
  20. It was still a good storm though we had a foot of snow here
  21. They divide Nassau and Suffolk counties into north and south (and actually northwest, northeast, southwest and southeast for Suffolk county) so I don't see why that can't be done for other counties too.
  22. Don, was there a 7 inch snowstorm in the middle of March that melted on the same day, I remember something like that. But that 7 inch report was from Massapequa. The sun came out as soon as the snow ended and it warmed up quickly. It was an amazing day, we had mid winter and late spring on the same day lol.
  23. Never say never, looks like it will get colder again starting Sunday
  24. They say it every day on every forecast, it's like a disease that's spreading lol
  25. I know you're weenieing my posts, so this is to give you notice I weenied all 51 of your miserable posts and I'm going to weenie any posts you ever make again in the future.  You think I make quick replies, you'll know what quick is because I'll weenie every post you make in the future before you even finish sending them.
