  1. I see that even made it out west by LGA.... note the difference in snowfall amounts between LGA, NYC and JFK. I've seen it happen before too, we had a storm in December 1995 when LGA had 14" and NYC had 8" and JFK had 7"
  2. Even worse, Bastardi claims that those who are what we call "warministas" are always biased warm because of being climate change cultists and that they have a political agenda to push the agenda of climate change and that's why they always forecast warm and snowless.
  3. say what... they say snowless warm winters help keep tick populations in check? In my experience tick populations always boom after snowless winters (like last winter)
  4. even so there could be a fluke March storm like March 1998 had. Not that anyone should ever expect such an event.
  5. you might have a point there, I could see them doing this lol
  6. JFK has had two consecutive seasons with under 10" of snow though correct? And two seasons out of three?
  7. then again this was an even more weird experience-- I've never experienced heavy snow with the sun being visible at the same time!
  8. it surprised me because the sun was shining through the clouds here the entire time it was snowing-- such a weird experience
  9. that 0.3" at JFK is a joke unless there was a massive drop off here, about 5 miles east of there, it's going down as a trace, it wasn't even 0.1"
  10. Walt, by JFK it wasn't even 0.1" more like a Trace. The sun was shining through the clouds the entire time and the snow was barely of light intensity at any time and very small flakes.
  11. wow you had more than I did then. I just had a slight accumulation on wires and tree branches, nothing else. I wouldn't even call it 0.1-- it's going down as a Trace.
  12. Yep the sun is starting to come back out and not even a single flake falling. Honestly, I dont even know how JFK got 0.1" lol
  13. this explains everything, we're SW of that green band and it's still very light snow here...I'm south of that "k" in "New York"
