  1. 90/73 at Westminster. 79/73 at Frederick...heck of a boundary.
  2. Not a lot of lightning and the tops are low on the carroll cell. I'm more interested in the ones along I81.
  3. SVR w/ TOR possible tag for Mt. Airy/ Damascus/New Market
  4. Cell crossing I81 spiking tops to about 45kft...lightning inceeasing too.
  5. The WV/OH is kinda beefy...that might be the real show from DC and points south.
  6. 40 to 45kt shear per the 18z raob. Helicity favorable for anything discrete to spin.
  7. Despite the clouds, starting to see an agitated CU field in Mt. Airy.
  8. 17hrrr has a legit supercell in Fairfax to DCA this evening and another running along I70 into Wilmington, de.
  9. It's a bit more encouraging to see plqces like MRB, FDK, and MDW getting into the upper 80s. That might put places like mappyland in play.
  10. I agree with High Risk that we're probably getting a red box. Latest SPC mesoanalysis is a favorable environment for a couple of tornadoes, but to me the bigger threat is straight line winds.
  11. The only place i can ever find them is on SPC site and it takes like 4 hours for it to show up there.
  12. Might have a watch box drawn up and once the 18z RAOB gets finished they push it out.
  13. Yea I'll base my interest for the rest of the day on that. I don't know why we don't have more special RAOBs.
  14. If you look at the regional radar, there's definitely some discrete stuff firing in Central WV. The challenge is to get this stuff rooted in the surface instability to start tapping the shear and helicity though. The 12z RAOB from IAD has a ConvT of 87 degrees and we aren't seeing anything in the uppers 80s until you get south and east of I95. If I were on the eastern shore or S. MD I'd be pretty psyched about today.
  15. Yea this is looking more and more like a Delmarva and S MD threat.
