  1. Posting this for future reference. The latest update from SPC meso analysis page show the nasty dry slot at 700mb. If this low was over Kentucky, just about everyone would be in a better situation.
  2. From the warm air advection, probably. But everyone is still hoping on the coastal to deliver some love and it's still possible, especially up here in the Baltimore area.
  3. The latest HRRR has the DGZ high and ry through about 7 to 10 pm. After that things become more favorable for steadier precip. in Maryland.
  4. Latest update from the ASOSs show NE winds starting to pick up across the Baltimore area and northern Delmarva.
  5. Yup. Just broken 2.0" Reisterstown. We now have a sustained NE wind on the wx station too.
  6. In Reisterstown over the past hour, the flake size has finally increase and hasn't backed down to the mangled plates and pillars from this morning. Finally accumulating better.

  13. Yup. @ers-wxman1 talks about this all the time. NAM can be the first to sniff out a short term trend, but gets dismissed.

  15. Enjoy the storm folks. Looks like the second blockbuster event for you this winter. We're staring down another big bust south of Mason-Dixon. If it's not the mix line, it's a dry slot.

  19. Took a few minutes after the echoes moved overhead for snow to start. Nothing terrible, we won't be smoking virga for hours up here.
  20. SN- Reisterstown. Started about 30 mim ago with some mangled pillars and plates. Flake size looking better in the past 10 min.
