  1. The only thing that really means for you is you need to remember to take the wax for your surfboard now. :)
  2. I feel special today. Lanco is the only county in the CTP area to be under a Heat Advisory. Such joy...
  3. What time did you get home on Friday? I feel so bad for the people of Mount Joy. There are a good number of people who have to pump their basements out 3 times this summer.
  4. Ended up being a pretty decent football Saturday in Happy Valley, which for all the world looked like it was going to end up being Appy Valley. At least that's what the pins said that Mountaineer fans were wearing. Canderson - no other way of putting it. Just a godawful stretch of brutal weather incoming. Fall cannot come soon enough.
  5. Here's another one...2.95" fell just 2 miles east of Mount Joy. 7" difference in 2 miles!
  6. Mount Joy, Lancaster county is over 10" since 12:30pm.
  7. I live about 4 miles west of Mount Joy. 6.5" at home since 12:30pm but Mount Joy itself is over 10".
  8. Dear God what a nightmare unfolding in Lanco....
  9. At Hersheypark today and so far not a drop of rain here. At this point I have no desire to attempt going home. Really hope that stationary band near Mt. Joy moves soon.
  10. It is gross out. 91/77 split right now. Tomorrow and Wednesday look equally awful. At least it will be somewhat cooler for the Lions opener on Saturday.
  11. Sigh...going to be a toaster bath sitting in the Beav next Saturday afternoon...
  12. Last night 2.1" fell at my home. From July 21st to August 21st I received 22.4" of rain. Fortunately I don't see that continuing for the next 11 months, which would give me a 268" yearly total.
  13. Looks like a good soaking band is incoming too.
  14. It has not stopped raining here once today. Totally unexpected.
  15. MDT isn't far from me really...just under 14 miles. I was right on the line of the heavy band.
  16. I for one am sick of this. More detours on the way in to work this morning. It's getting ridiculous. Picked up another 1.9" overnight, I am now at 18.4" since all of this began on Saturday, 7/21.
  17. Somewhat related but I truly think my team is making a serious case for being the worst team in MLB history. We are really bad in every facet of the game of baseball.
  18. Congrats to your nephew Jon, and thanks for starting the thread...though I'd be perfectly fine if it was a baseball thread exclusively.
  19. Conestoga River in Lancaster reached moderate flood stage today. The county as a whole got bamboozled.
  20. 3.1" overnight brings me to 14.2" over the past 2 weeks.
  21. I don't often post at 2:50am but enough is enough! I am getting constant flash flood warning alerts on my phone and the rain is relentless. It has been almost a constant deluge since about 8pm last evening and I fear what is happening in low-lying areas around me. Should be interesting to see the gauge come sunrise...
  22. Looks like less than 2" expected throughout our area next week.
  23. Every time I look the QPF map is less impressive: (I don't see any areas around here getting more than 3" according to the WP) Edit: I can't get the image to appear.
