  1. I'm sorry he's doing this. It doesn't speak well for us. We have a good group of people and this doesn't speak well for all of us.
  2. Why are you not posting in our thread? I invited you to post in your own area last year and you ignored me. No better way to wear out a welcome (that never came) is to post in a a thread that's getting a fraction of the snow you will be. Don't be a troll. These are good people down here.
  3. The rates picked up and the sleet disappeared. I'm going out to measure now. Visibility is about as low as it gets. It's a nuke job right now.
  4. First pings of the day have commenced in the historic district. I'd say 80/20 in favor of snow. (snow has gotten clumpy)
  5. You got that right! It is piling up very quickly. We're going to have a glacier tomorrow. Hoping that the glacier is a deep one.
  6. I was going to post that and make a comment - in all seriousness, when was the last time that a changeover didn't happen sooner, or end up farther north, than anticipated? I remember so many storms that were only to mix south of the turnpike that ended up near IPT. I'm NOT suggesting that will happen this time, but I have to believe that the idea of my first 2 points has some merit.
  7. It's been pouring snow here for some time now, and flake size is fluctuating between large and small flakes constantly.
  8. I can't accurately measure visibility but I'm approaching heavy snow. It's cranking now.
  9. Sleet line currently extends from Northeast Maryland SW through Baltimore City and on SW through the northern DC burbs. It's made a significant jog north in the past hour.
  10. Snow is increasing in intensity here, .8" official measurement. Ceiling is markedly lower as well.
  11. A steady light snow for the past 90 minutes or so has diminished to just a few flurries currently.
  12. That is good. I'm watching the sleet line on radar...it's JUST south of the Potomac right now. More than anything else including ground temps, I'll be watching that line advance north this afternoon.
  13. Just your average 18" difference between the GFS and NAM with the storm underway... I'd gladly take the HRRR and it's depiction and be happy.
  14. Days like today help forget what this year has become. Enjoy all!
