  1. Doesn't appear to be turning into much more than showers with some embedded thunder.
  2. Yep...not looking forward to it, but it is what it is. Perhaps our first true thunderstorm of the season later today?
  3. Nice weather pattern developing that should make most happy. Sunny, milder days (though still below normal) and clear, chilly nights look to be in store into the middle of next week.
  4. Any accumulations? i was looking at cams from the Laurels this morning and it looked like a couple of inches had fallen there. Regardless...enjoy!
  5. CTP has hoisted WWA's for the northern tier counties for 2"-4" of snow overnight into tomorrow morning. On 4/18-4/19...unreal.
  6. Some areas in Wisconsin had north of 30" over the weekend. In mid-April. It's been that kind of year.
  7. Approaching noon on 4/17 and I can confirm there are flakes in the air!
  8. It was 42 when i left home for work. Already up to 47 now. The rollercoaster continues...
  9. Temp at 81 here, wind strong but still a south/southeast component. @heavy_wx it is amazing how green things have gotten down there the past 2 days.
  10. Yeah...some pretty big negative departures showing up for next week on today's 12z Euro.
  11. My AC is ready. If it's going to be that hot outside i will seek respite in my 65 degree home.
  12. I went out this morning, turned the car on, then the wipers. Nothing moved. Everything was frozen. It was a great way to start a new day. I love winter. I crave snow. But i was pissed this morning when that happened.
  13. Light snow continues. It's been steady now for 2 straight hours. Drove by a high school baseball game a short time ago...parents looked like they were lined up to watch the Iditarod go past.
  14. This. Once the nice weather hits later this week I'll embrace it...so long as it doesn't get hot.
  15. What is Tom Russell saying about snow tomorrow now?
  16. Might as well keep watching...Euro hasn't been so good this winter. Then again, all the models have struggled with the progressive flow.
  17. I wasn't "riled". You were complaining last weekend about suppression. It ended up that you got more than most. It just seems that you complain about storms missing beforehand but then when you end up getting hit you go quiet. Trust me...I'm far removed from being riled. I got truly riled with you and Yorkpa25 a few years ago. We're good now.
  18. It's not we're missing out...no one gets much anymore.
  19. How much did you get with the last suppressed event? I had 1.5" I'm sorry but it bothers me a bit when you complain every time a storm misses but you go quiet when you get hit. You tell us how little you get but never how much when you do well.
  20. Agree 100%. Things could change again in timing the moving pieces...
  21. In this case it's the timing of when the wave arrives in conjunction with the cold push. The wave slows down, the arctic air gets firmly established, and the precip heads south. Speed the wave up and we'd be in business. Not sure I would say it's been a year of suppression...NYC has had 4x the amount of snow that DC has had. Most areas below our latitude are below normal snowfall this winter.
  22. Not at all. Models are clearly picking up on the arctic air squeezing farther south.
