  1. Mike Seidel on TWC is live in Ft Myers and it's an absolutely insane shot.
  2. Eye appears to have contracted a little bit and wobbled north. Frictional convergence really tightening up the eastern eyewall.
  3. This sheared tropical storm is insane
  4. That Ft. Myers stream from Severe Studios is very reminiscent of Mexico Beach in Michael and Grand Isle in Ida.
  5. Wonder what happened with the recon? They were about to do a S to N pass and turned around it seems
  6. 138 and 137 knot SFMR, flagged however
  7. Northern eyewall looking intense from Tampa's radar. 55+ DBZ
  8. Have to assume an extreme wind warning is coming very soon. Eyewall knocking on the door of the coast next few hours. Also frictional convergence should tighten up the eyewall and close it off again.
  9. If it doesn't reach category 5 (hopefully a little dry air can disrupt the core), this will be a great candidate for a post review category 5.
  10. Surge upped to 12-16 ft on new advisory
  11. 6 MB drop in about an hour and a half Oh yeah the near category 5 winds also.
  12. Not too surprised at that. West eyewall is more impressive on BR and IR.
  13. Clover leaf appearance in the eye. Meso vortices gonna meso vortices
  14. FYI, Key West Naval Station still in tropical storm conditions as of last METAR update. Pretty sure that's around 12-ish hours of TS conditions, could be a little off though. Still really impressive.
  15. Also seems to be slowing down just a little bit.
  16. REALLY trying to clear the eye, curious about how much more intensification occurs before landfall in about 6ish hours imo. Also meso vortices evident on radar/satellite. That SE side of landfall is likely going to be a very populated area regardless of due east wobbles and will receive one hell of a surge. Awful man.
  17. Curious if NHC ups the surge estimates for Ft Myers area at 11 PM, because of the EWRC expanding size.
