Looking ahead, NHC issuing hurricane warnings for SC/GA coast at 5 PM is a real possibility. Every global model with the 12z suite has it going under some type of deepening during the day Friday.

Mike Seidel on TWC is live in Ft Myers and it's an absolutely insane shot.

Eye appears to have contracted a little bit and wobbled north. Frictional convergence really tightening up the eastern eyewall.

That Ft. Myers stream from Severe Studios is very reminiscent of Mexico Beach in Michael and Grand Isle in Ida.

Have to assume an extreme wind warning is coming very soon. Eyewall knocking on the door of the coast next few hours. Also frictional convergence should tighten up the eyewall and close it off again.

If it doesn't reach category 5 (hopefully a little dry air can disrupt the core), this will be a great candidate for a post review category 5.
