  1. Watch your head if you're walking under any trees. I got domed while shoveling
  2. @Ralph Wiggum how did you make out? My buddy in warminster says he had between 8-9". Little bit better than 1-3"
  3. Agreed, we have 3 - 4 threats the next 10 days. Maybe a brief relaxation period after your storm, then we reload for another round late month into March. I'll be surprised if anyone isnt't well above normal by the end of the season now. Things look about as close to perfect around here as it gets the next 10 days.
  4. 5.5" in Lower Makefield according to my brother 4" in Levittown according to my father
  5. Tapering off to light now. I am going to call it at 7.5" about 2 miles N of Hopewell here in the Sourlands! Elevation definitely paid off as we never started as rain and temps reached a high of 33. Now down to 29F. Up to 26" on the season, which I believe is right around normal here for the entire season. Everything from here on out is gravy!
  6. 7" in Hopewell. Expectations = smashed.
  7. Snow on snow on snow on snow on snow. You have to think one of those fails but still even if we bat .500, this is going to be a memorable stretch.
  8. 4.5" @ 1030 in Hopewell.. would guess closer to 5 now but haven't been out to check for sure. My brother in lower makefield just texted me he hit 3" still snowing moderately.
  9. So glad that I built my snow board yesterday. Happy to officially report 4" at 10 am in Hopewell. Still heavy snow. I reckon we have at least another hour, maybe two of the heavy stuff. Great little storm!
  10. Easily looks to be between 2 - 2.5" out there, I'll take another measurement though at 10. Snow intensity has waned a bit but intensity has gotten worse as well... Do I still report it as heavy? Definitely not the 1.5-2"/hr rate of before though.
  11. 1.5" so far and heavy snow right now. Beautiful outside!
  12. Ripping fatties now. Easy 1"/hr rates and should continue for the next few hours.
  13. Radar looks great in my eyes. We should thump for several hours. Sitting pretty here, gotta smell the rain and all that jazz...
  14. Started All snow here in Hopewell. Up to moderate already with nice flake size. Driveway and all surfaces coated. Temp bumped up to 32 though.
  15. Good morning everyone! 29F and cloudy here in Hopewell, don't think we ll have any issues starting as rain here. Maybe towards 95 though as Levittown is 33f, NE Philly is 34f, and PHL is 36f. DC having a bit of issues with the bl to start but they're just getting into the heavier stuff so we ll see if they switch over soon.
  16. Looks like precip comes in at 12z/7 am. My best guess at the heavy stuff would be 9 - noon but I'm getting up at 5 just to watch it come in lol
  17. Final call: 2-4" N and W of 95 with less the further out you go from 95. 4-8" Along 95 S and E about 25 miles 1-4" along the shore... Will be tricky here, can rates eventually overcome boundary layer? I think 8" will be the max in our area, don't think anyone will hit double digits but should be a fun little event. I expect it to come down at a heavy rate for a good 2-3 hours. Will be a nice nowcasting storm as well with the banding. Make sure you set your alarms for tomorrow morning.
  18. Yep, tomorrow should be a nice refresher to cover up those ugly brown spots
  19. Thanks Mike, I did not know that it was auto generated.
  20. That is my goal for this storm too. 3" with a hour or 2 of fat heavy flakes. Definitely a hard storm to nail down since it is all going to come down to banding with how borderline thermals are. Better to aim low and be pleasantly surprised than vice versa.
  21. Tt maps but I'm sure this includes some of the changeover. Would be very nasty! 3-6" thump then .025"-.5" of ice. Cmc also has a small event on Tuesday for the northern half of the forum. This week should be fun, I see 3 threats this week where we have a decent shot at snow, then we still have your storm lurking in the distance next week. Plus none of the models really show the pattern breaking down any time soon.
  22. Trenton is above it's forecast high as well at 1130. Almost 45 there. 41 up here in Hopewell. Seems like any time the sun is blasting anymore and there isn't a north wind, we just warm up super fast.
  23. This map says to me that nws isn't confident at all for tomorrow. I know it's the low end amount but usually when we are under winter storm warnings this map shows like the bare minimum to qualify for those warnings, like 4". This says to me, there's a pretty large chance at a bust due to the BL issues and they aren't really confident in their winter storm warnings.
  24. Totally agree on all points. I think a narrow 20-25 mile wide area will get 4-6"+ of mashed potatoes under the intense banding but it won't be widespread at all. 1-3" on the grass(snow) would be my guess for most.
  25. New mt holly map with the 6-8" weenie stripe over my house. Edit: don't know why the old one shows when I paste the link in here.
