  1. I had a manual Tacoma for 15 years and went to automatic four years ago, and the only time I miss manual is 4WD mode in snow and hills. Unfortunately, that isn’t very often recently.
  2. I installed two Mitsubishi units here last year. The garage got a ceiling unit while the addition upstairs got a wall unit, and they are fantastic.
  3. That car is toast. Another 25 feet and it looks even worse. This all reminds me, how is your car @North Balti Zen? And I’m not suggesting that you deliberately drove into high water.
  4. I thought I was getting heat hardened until I went out for a couple of hours on the bike this afternoon. It was brutal, and I need a tub of ice.
  5. Looks like this afternoon will be strike one on any thunderstorms.
  6. I haven’t been hearing much more about the mysterious bird “virus” that was killing large numbers. Hopefully it was just from the cicada gorge.
  7. @CAPE says, “No, my lawn is dying.” But, @CAPE says, “Yes, my mosquito pond is thriving.”
  8. Great time at Big Truck. If I knew Katie’s address, I’d be in her pool in ten minutes.
  9. Definitely a beautiful place. The beers that we had were good too. We’ll be back too, but today should be spent at the pool. Enjoy!
  10. My gf and a buddy drove up to Farmacy to meet me after I rode my bike there. Cool spot and now the three of us are heading up to Big Truck in Mappyland. I look a little scrubby after my ride, but if we see her, she’ll get a birthday beer.
  11. Happy Birthday! Did you make it to Big Truck? If so, how was it? We are looking for a place to stretch out and relax for the day. Also, has anyone been to Farmacy?
  12. Beat me to it, but I also agree!
  13. Meanwhile, just an absolutely beautiful evening here. Lots of fireflies tonight too.
  14. Good to know. I don’t grow cilantro anymore because it bolted so fast. Maybe I’ll give those seeds a try.
  15. Just a few miles from ground zero and felt nothing. My gf concurs, but she says that a lot.
  16. Oh, God. Let’s not! We do wind, heat and sports talk well, but we suck at cold, snow, and controversial issues.
  17. I was a vendor at RFK in the early 90’s before that RalJon catastrophe was built, and I loved it. Passionate fans and I rarely saw the kind of stuff you see now. Then a Camden Yards vendor for 25 years and it was just a great way to spend a summer. That was back when the team was competitive, the Yard was packed, and the money flowed. One off-season, I figured I’d work a few games at the Ravens stadium and promptly changed my mind when I saw a Baltimore fan deck a Buffalo fan as he was walking down the steps just because he had on a Bills’ jersey. As noted by the other posts, the minority of asshats ruin the football game experience for many.
  18. Nah. Everyone has an opinion, and having played the game at a high level like you did, you’re allowed to be turned off by it.
  19. I’m with @H2O on this one. Football games and the negative atmosphere from some fan behavior has turned me off from going to games (not to mention the cost). But I love getting a good seat and watching baseball. For me, football is fine on tv, but baseball is way better in person. I just wish the O’s would make an effort to be more fan-friendly. As bad as their record is, and as hopeless as this season is, I’d still go to games if it was affordable. No outside food or drink and ridiculous ticket costs keep me from being a regular.
  20. Beautiful day along the Potomac.
  21. Good for you. I wish I could say that but I still waste a lot of time watching.
  22. Scroll down the tweet to see my favorite part. It’s where Girardi gets tossed and one of the Nats coaches is laughing and yelling, “Hold me back.” eta Look for the video “Scherzer wants all the smoke…”
