  1. I was hoping for a 977 low to cut a little more than this does. Oh well, looks like congrats Ann Arbor and Detroit is in order.
  2. Like I said it may be wrong, but at least it is consistent. I agree that the NAM may be off its rocker but since there has been a lot of complaining about model waffling I thought I would show one that wasn't.
  3. They might be wrong, but you can't complain about the consistency here. Unlike some other models, the SREF numbers aren't waffling at all.
  4. GRR hoisted watches also and thinking 6”+. Grids have about 7” on Friday
  5. RAP looks more like the NAM than the GFS.
  6. I am torn, we have a shot at a top 15 winter for total snowfall but the snowcover has been abysmal. Some impressive storms but absolutely no staying power this winter. Probably a B/B- since we will probably end up with 90+ this season after the last snow flake falls sometime later in March/April.
  7. 18Z NAM and RDPS paint two completely different pictures. One snowy and north the other weak and south. Split the difference and halve the NAM QPF is my guess right now.
  8. GFS likes the area in MI that got hit the hardest with ice last week for the most snow this time.
  9. Not an awful track for SW Michigan but not great for the Detroit crew.
  10. Congrats on a very nice meteorological winter
  11. We haven't agreed on everything but glad to have another knowledgeable poster from Michigan.
  12. Many places in Michigan are getting an ice storm today. Power outages on the increase again this time a little more north though.
  13. Unexpected freezing rain this morning here. Thought we would be warm enough for just rain.
  14. 12Z Euro for Saturday at 00Z had a low NE of Piqua, OH then the 00Z run at the same time had it off the North Carolina coast. Just your casual everyday 4 state shift.
  15. Thankfully only about 0.2" or so of ice here.
  16. We have between 0.1" and 0.2" of ice with some sleet mixed in. Not as bad as other places in MI but several more hours to go also so I guess we will wait and see what it looks like in the morning.
  17. Models really want to wind something up the first week of March. Only 8 more days to go before it turns into a shell of its original self and someone gets 6" or less.
  18. GFS hitting the I-94 corridor pretty hard with freezing rain. Hope it isn't as bad as it implies or that area is going to be a real mess.
  19. The new guy at GRR provides some entertaining AFDs for sure. While there remains questions where the only answers lie in some undiscovered country, there will remain impactful precipitation through the daytime and through at least the first half of Wednesday night.
  20. That has been the theme for most storms this winter. QPF gets cuts back over time.
  21. I'd take sleet over a significant amount of freezing rain any day.
