  1. If it doesn't rain that will continue for the foreseeable future.
  2. Walk in appointments are starting to be pretty common around here also. Side effects so far have been minimal for most but did have one co-worker who mentioned having a fever and chills starting about 12 hours after the shot for about 10 hours or so.
  3. With the dryness we have had so far and everything weakening as it gets closer in I fully expect these totals to be high. Riding seasonal trends until they fail.
  4. Does anyone know what the highest percentage recorded is for at least some level of drought in the lower 48? This is not a good way to enter summer with that much D0 and higher on the map.
  5. Unfortunately we might reach herd immunity without vaccines the way things are going here.
  6. Thanks. I hadn't seen that link.
  7. Thanks for the information. I had a co-worker point me to that site and out of curiosity I selected COVID just to see. I realize some of that data is definitely random people submitting data that hasn't been examined for root cause, however how much of it is real? Hopefully they follow up and sift through that data to find what is real and what isn't. Is there another place like this where you can find verified information instead?
  8. I never said any were. I posted that because earlier it was said no one had died from COVID vaccines but this database would seem to say otherwise.
  9. Disclaimer - I am not anti vax nor am I saying I won't get the shot. I am taking a more wait and see approach. To those who say there are no deaths from the vaccine, The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) Request Form (cdc.gov). Unless I am misinterpreting the numbers, it appears there have been a number of deaths (1600+) from the COVID vaccines along with a whole host of other side effects. Most side effects are not much more than a nuisance, but this is not a 100% safe vaccine as many have stated. There are risks to getting the shot and risks to not getting it. The risks may not be equal, but they exist in both cases.
  10. Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids is open to anyone 16 or older - https://mychartopensched.spectrumhealth.org/MyChart/covid19/#/scheduling
  11. Finally got some rain. Had 1.25" overnight.
  12. Sort of, using the Department of Health and Human Services to issue the orders now.
  13. Wish I knew what it was that is "off". Our governor is going to tighten the screws again is my guess.
  14. Same here. Dry air ate up virtually all of the precip.
  15. I was just commenting to my wife this morning on how dry it was and there isn't much precip in the forecast either.
  16. Time for @buckeye to post something like this
  17. Local authorities and private businesses can do whatever they want. This was just lifting the state mandate. If Best Buy says you have to wear a mask they still have that right.
  18. C-/D+ here. Nowhere near normal snow with November, December, and January having almost no snow. February rescued this winter from being an F.
  19. I wonder when the last time this happened, if ever - Lansing with more snow than Muskegon.
  20. Not trying to pick a fight, but why didn't you do this before Covid? This goes for anyone saying it is such a great idea. Masks have been around for a long time but suddenly they have become essential?
  21. Wat is up with that red spot east of Whichita Falls, TX surrounded by a sea of green?
  22. 26.6" so far at CMH. 6.1" ahead of normal so far. Not entirely sure what normal is for CMH but it seems to me they will be very close either side of normal when the snow year finishes.
  23. Melting is kicking in to high gear today. 42 and dripping everywhere.
  24. You can tell the areas that are doing well. Quite a few deficits as you go north. Crazy southern Great Lakes storm track dominating this winter.
