  1. 2.75 inches of fluff. The first proper snow of the season, this. Loving this.
  2. My final guess for mby is 2 inches. Better banding north, better banding south, intensification east of here and a lot of poor growth. If i can do a little x country today or tomorrow I'll consider it a big victory.
  3. Outside is the way to go. But if in nerd mode, multimonitor setup for the win.
  4. There isn't a model that agrees with your forecast.
  5. I'm not sure how it would snow 6" in 24 hours down here though, it just doesn't happen with temps just above freezing. I don't mind some of these depictions with the best stuff just off shore though, at all. All the overperformers (and by that I mean like two systems in the eight years I've been here) here are like that.
  6. I'm on the south coast, and I wish I was confident I was getting what the south coast is.
  7. Definitely not for the extreme se.
  8. Jaded. It's been a rough few winters, and this one is no different thus far.
  9. Oh boy oh boy oh boy, I can't wait to watch it snow but not accumulate again! Then, rain! It's another boreaster.
  10. Bring it on, all I have to look forward to is an inch or two of snow before another bout of rain. If it can't snow, it may as well clear out the remaining sludge so I can cycle away the tears.
  11. I'd expect snow removal to be bad there. Snow removal is bad in places that don't get snow regularly, as it represents an expensive investment for municipalities, for what is ultimately only an occasional problem. Compound that by the fact that it's largely deserted in the winter, and it's a recipe for that occasional big storm to overwhelm limited resources. It's the same reason why a place like Nashville can't handle three inches. Well, that and the drivers.
  12. Woke up to slightly more than a coating. No running for me, just a quick walk to the cemetery for a few miles of x country skiing. This will keep it going for another day.
  13. Oh come on, there's a complaint embedded in this no complaint, if you are honest with yourself. I can identify. I've got less than you. Not complaining, of course!
  14. How much snow do you have on the ground?
  15. Nice light snow and it's actually sticking after a mixed start. Living that deep deep winter dream with my three inch pack and day two of cross country skiing. Genuinely loving it.
  16. I'm hoping for an inch out of this thing so I can go cross country skiing across from my house two days this winter instead of one.
  17. Someone on aquidneck island is telling porky pies.
  18. Wow, must have been fun to be under this for hours. This will get us up to 3 or maybe a little more then its over. It's been a normal story for here, best banding either side of the bay, a little reminder of what real snow is on the way out, and on the whole unremarkable.
  19. For sure. Only got to get through 5 months of gloom until then.
  20. Between 6 hours today and 12 hours on the last one, I've had 18 hours of snow, and about 3 inches in total. Currently 1.5" and pixie dust in subsidence. Maybe will actually get some growth as the band passes through and then this is over, especially now that temps have dropped. *Shrugs* I just booked 3 days in the adirondacks. I can't take this all winter.
  21. Yeah, but that's where the bands always are.
  22. It's just a horrible place for snow. Just have to accept it. The banding Sigs before this with a pretty meh system showed this could happen. As if anyone thought a band wouldnt form west of here, but with more ragged radar, this is always what happens.
  23. Seems like narragansett bay screw zone about to open up. How shocking.
  24. Not this year. Seems like every other year, just about.
