  1. I've never seen it snow this hard for so long to get nowhere.
  2. It's still snowing moderately hard between bands, but it sounds like its raining outside, for how much the pine tree is dripping. I think the storm was modeled pretty well here, if you ignored the clown maps for actual output. Super low ratio and high melt. Since its going to rain at the end anyway here though, who cares? It's putting on a bit of a show at least.
  3. This feels like a March snowstorm. We've had like half a foot of snow so far and there is a couple inches on the ground. Trying to finish up work so I can take another walk.
  4. Love how the heavy echoes are building in south. Could be in this for a while.
  5. We are currently In what is likely the best snow we will see all year. It's dumping out there. Enjoy it!
  6. Yeah, of course. I'm sure portsmouth has double our snow already. I'm closer to the bridges. It's not worth thinking about though, its gorgeous outside and my kids loving it.
  7. It's been snowing since 830 steady and light, but has been growing in intensity as that death band pivots closer and closer. Love that this is a day storm. If that blasts through into rain I can live with it!
  8. How can you have a hot hand if by and large nobody has been playing? Here in Newport the fun has started. Went from nothing to parachutes in about 5 minutes.
  9. Im a professional writer and hate photography. I've taken classes because I know occasionally some staff photojournalist won't make it and I don't want my work to appear next to embarassing images. I have no passion or interest in design, but to do corporate work, it's worth knowing how to do the basics. Now, should pretty graphics lend credence to the information they present? Who cares, really? They absolutely do. That's why every weather site spends so much time on it, even though much of it makes me roll my eyes. If you self publish anything, professionally, you can learn how to make it look clean in a matter of hours. Thereafter, it won't take any additional time compared to the ugly way. All the work you produce will be more impactful. There's a logic in doing so, however you think about it.
  10. It's been a crap time and it's perfectly rational to want a fun escape.
  11. There have. The more improvements there are, the more we won't accept uncertainty in increasingly fine margins. And long live the bust. The day we have one hundred percent confidence, is the day it's no fun anymore.
  12. Ah yes, those exciting racecourses that end in a brickwall, fire, and lamentation.
  13. He lives in Newport and likes snow. It's enough to break any of us.
  14. They expressed the uncertainty in the discussion, and there's been wide model variance especially in this area. I wouldn't want to be them, you're being more than a little harsh, especially since some models (and I don't believe them) are showing those amounts, still.
  15. I'm used to being left out, but I don't think I've ever seen new london on an island like it is, with south county included to it's east. Makes sense really. I would hate to have to forecast the limits, so why not wait for more info.
  16. I assume I'm getting slop and hope to be surprised. I'm basically clinging to the nam, which isn't a great place to be in.
  17. I think we all want snow. The trouble is pull down the white blanket to cover these toes down here, and the northern nipples are wanting.
  18. If it rains, I'll be able to look back fondly on how bitterly cold it was?
  19. To have any chance of a mostly snow event imby, I'm glad widespread disapointment is being countenanced. This is the way. All the bigger solutions were rain flips here, and while those always show some giant dump after the flip, it absolutely never works out here.
