I am sure it was. Then again, since it was my first year up here. let's just say that Jan 3, 2022 thing that gave 9 inches give or take Loudon over to DC up to Columbia area while we get about a 1/4 of an inch...left a mark.

As for how things stand now, as the board's resident bengals fan, bengals and ravens definitely got short end of a stick in a very unfortunate situation - but it is what it is. Bengals were playing for the 2 seed if they had beaten bills, and they had a definite chance to find a way to a win. As it stands, likely locked into the 3. Ravens lose all chance at playing for division if bengals/bills is declared a no contest. But making bengals/bills play during usual wildcard weekend while every other AFC playoff team rests up is a pretty lousy suggestion too. Lots of bad options. It's gonna blow for Bengals if they get past ravens in a playoff game to have to go to Buffalo in next round when they were playing for right to a second playoff home game of their own. But, in the end, most everyone will be unhappy. Except for KC, which gets the 1 seed despite having lost to both Buffalo and Cincinnati.

Current murmuring is about them adding an 8th playoff team in each conference so no teams get the benefit of a bye. Figures Steelers would find a way to worm into things...

In fairness, one should never take comfort in a flush hit solution or a north and west solution either. In general, never take comfort. And, man, this board lives up to that.

Happy new year! Yesterday, we doubled the labs in our home from 1 to 2. Gonna be an interesting start to 2023. My four-year-old giving us a lot of WTF vibes but starting to find interesting things in the new little dude. He's 13 weeks and has a heart murmur but super happy to have landed with us it appears. I haven't told him yet that it never snows here though...

Drove to Annapolis this AM for brunch with the oldest and , hoo boy, no joke on the fog. Yeesh.
