    Probably made it to genuine deluge for a bit in the last hour - swale in the yard filled and was running quickly downhill.

    On a selfish up note, I have oil heat and have had only two deliveries this "winter" and of the second delivery I am still just below 7/8 full.

    This. The past atmospheric river event helped with the reservoirs, but the groundwater replenishment process needs much more help. So if they take another set of deluges, it's probably for the best even with the short-term pain it causes as it falls.

    My youngest did a semester abroad in the fall in Paris. And...yeah, the travel around the continent for him was amazing and easy and cheap. Happy yours is getting to experience same. Mine had a great fall to say the least.

    That, plus the research is into tornados that spin up in squall lines. From my experience since moving here in 2010, that is FAR more likely to be our issue than a supercell type storm producing a tornado.

    Stop starting storm threads five days ahead of the alleged event. Seriously. If there’s a threat in the mid-range we can do a mid-range thread if need be. We used to do those.
