  1. I've updated the futility thread so you can see just where we stand on how awful this has been compared to other top 5 worst years.
  2. Here's what the new futility marks look like without some sort of Hail Mary event...just...woof. New number 1 worst snow total ever at BWI and Dulles and 3rd worst at DCA. 3 of the top 5 worst snow total seasons ever at each airport since 2011/12 season to now. It is...alarming as fuck. BWI: .2 - 2022/23 .7 - '49/'50 1.2 - '72/'73 1.8 - 2011/12 1.8 - 2019/20 DCA .1 - '97/'98 .1 - '72/'73 .4 - 2022/23 .6 - 2019/20 2.0 - 2011/12 Dulles: .4 - 2022/23 2.2 - '72/'73 2.6 - 2001/02 2.9 - 2019/20 3.7 - 2011/12
  3. 1/25 --- T 2/1 —- T ( a few flakes at 4 am) 3/14/23 - .2 (on the board) ’22 - ‘23 season total - .2
  4. First legit snow for my six month old puppy! He was so happy and confused .
  5. I am beside myself. I truly missed this.
  6. Good god. Maybe it can still snow here. It has been so damn long.
  7. Whoa. That’s legit snow. First grill topper and grass topper for me. This will be more than a T.
  8. yup. pretty much my nightmare for the start of spring- no winter during winter months at all and then unseasonably cold arrives too late to really make snow a thing and when you want to start to feel warmth. Been like this for many of the recent years too. Part of this overall crap seasonal pattern I think.
  9. Any of these waves spring or nah? This really sucks. Gray windy and cold in late March is kinda shit.
  10. Saw two flurries. Literally two. Makes it my fourth biggest event of the snow season...
  11. We should have moved to Tucson for snow, apparently...
  12. Saul Goodman!* *(Bob Odenkirk)
  13. oh good. Was afraid we didn’t have the perfect track for a cold march rain.
  14. If the ENS were right = that look should work for a lot us even on March 13-14. That being said, ENS prob not right.
  15. The JMA with the primary off Ocean City and a secondary over the Bahamas??? (jk)
  16. Still six days away, right? Plenty of time for the block to assert itself and push the redevelopment to a better spot. In theory.
  17. Here’s the latest / I suppose if ravens do the non-exclusive tag that opens up the possibility …
  18. Just a rumor. Not well founded .
  19. Friend, you may be over-estimating what powers we have as a forum...
  20. but if the snow maps don't show 74 inches then South Dakota version of Ji is gonna be upset...
  21. Mid-south being the Memphis centered area? The ArkLaTex region over to northern MS etc? If so, I lived there from 1998-2009, and I have definitely noticed many many more high wind and windy days since moving to the delmarva. Discrete storms in the mid-south will obviously have huge winds, but sustained winds over the threshold for a high wind warning in that area are much harder to come by - I assume because fronts tend to sweep through there and I promise you the air can be quite still ahead of fronts. Once fronts clear there they tend not to be slow to leave so winds die down quicker than HWW thresholds maybe? Over this way, I've noticed being caught between the mountains and any low pressure systems caught under a block off the coast that we sustain winds over longer hours way more effectively than the mid-south Having typed all that, I may be completely wrong, so...YMMV.
