What's nice? Having a weekend hike whatever the weather - didn't look at model runs for 8 hours today. Delightful. Today's jaunt 11.4 miles - the hikers gathered at the park and ride on 195 in catonsville and entered Patapsco there. MUDDY, WINDY, and some rain before sun took over. The stream crossings were a challenge in two spots but no one in our group of 14 went in thankfully. About 1100 feet of elevation gain. Took about 5 hours - with maybe 30 minutes of breaks for snacks and answering various calls of nature. I am...beat. Genuinely tired. But in a good way.

No. Whichever model doesn't show snow for us is king. This time it was the Euro. Next time it will be the GFS. That's the real king. Whichever model hold out against a snowy solution.

On an up note, no power in January 2024 means…the house is still plenty warm. I can’t even put the milk and such outside to really stay cool until power comes back.
