So weird reading you all on the Ravens as a bengals fan. Fwiw, baltimore is CLEARLY the class of the afc at this point in time. I have them a step below SF but we will see that resolve itself shortly. In any event, just accept that the ravens are really really good this year and enjoy the ride would be my advice…

Just finished today’s planned hike - 9.2 miles through various trails in gambrills state park - got it in before the rain really began. The hike leader was moving quick and there were only seven of us and that helped. Started at 9:15 and ended at 1:15 pm. 1100 feet of ascent total. A+ walk.

Absolute terrible visibility fog on drive from monkton to gambrills state park. Fog holds up here - on snack break on the hike 5 miles in of a planned 9-10 miles. 44 and I think I hear rain starting to fall.

Looks like not a fast onset maybe for the northern tier. Time to get outdoors this AM for exercise /shopping/church etc it looks like.

My Saturday hiking club hike was postponed unfortunately so I signed up for one tomorrow AM - hoping the rain is light early and we should be wrapped before the bad stuff gets here. Today looks glorious for a hike - enjoy!

Yeah, joining the hiking club was part of the plan for not going into a shell. Found my way to bar trivia last Tuesday with some strangers, had fun. I am introvert generally so pre-pushing myself to not just turtle up as it were. on an up note (or down note if people don’t want to meet me IRL) I am 100% more likely to make the next forum gathering…

No, unfortunately- but I do have about four unused vacation days that won’t roll over so…today used one. Off to Christmas shop now. Been a weird year - in process of separating (very amicably) from my wife - she will move back to the city after the holidays - and grabbing some “for me” days where I can. We’ve been together since we were 19 and I’m 53 now so it’s about to be a very weird new experience for me in a few weeks…

Was a glorious December morning for a long walk in the woods with the labs. Four miles, several stream crossings and only passed two people. 22 when I got in car to drive over to trailhead at 83 and mt. Carmel rd - 35 when I finished the hike just ahead of 9 . Now up to 42 at home.
