  1. Seriously worried for DT's mental health with his beloved Euro taking another header...
  2. 38/26 in my part of Balt City. Glancing at radar, trajectory looks...decent (for DC north folks) for where precip is currently occurring?
  3. Stay and say good things. About how it looks great for us down here and how Binghamton can go **** itself.
  4. I get it. I am not Yeoman. My wife is a teacher. Just explaining the deep snark.
  5. What he means is...why are you out running errands during school hours? He hates teachers and public schools...
  6. And then uses a flamethrower to be sure. Trying to decide if he was trying to be funny with that. Sadly, I don't think so. I am actually laughing over it.
  7. Wentz: WHOA WHOA WHOA - everyone settle down and let's talk about this is really great for Binghamton.
  8. wtf wentz... Def not trying, def succeeding...
  9. PARA and ICON is not a bad camp to start with. I will take that as an opening bid.
  10. He was going off the Euro, so just short-handed that. His map was re-referenced above.
  11. If you read back through the thread - it has been covered, I think. Summed up, a few days ago your area looked great as the Euro and a few others were showing it south of DC. DT put out a map that had you at edge of 10" countour. Since then, it appears to have shifted north with wave 1 and your area hoping to catch some of wave 2 (Thursday night into Friday). I don't know latest on sensible expectations for your area for accumulations from the two systems, but probably not what DT was showing 24 hours ago.
  12. Keep going past Westminster if you are going to make the drive and go to Emmitsburg. That's only an extra 30 minutes or so. There is a gorgeous park in the town center to walk in. And you have the option of the parks in and around the Catoctins to the south or Gettysburg just to the north as well.
  13. I get it. But there are reasons why people might still have instinctual reactions looking for improvements up to game time. But maybe not so much in a Nina...even one with negative infinity sigma AO departures...
  14. People on the Maryland side angrily gesturing at the people facing them 3 feet away on the PA side as the PA side piles up snow and the Maryland side gets pixie dust
  15. Also re: people's frustrations, @Bob Chill - there have been years (every so often) where systems actually improve within 36 hours up to gametime. People probably have residual memories of that.
  16. @mappy re: your post in the main on lack of coordination between weather service offices --- I guffawed at the image of 8 inches of snow piling up in Hanover then the state line and it drops off to one inch immediately.
  17. It’s weird, but I am slightly more optimistic this AM about it for us. I would put the area-wide range for the balt city crew at 3-6 ( mostly from round 1).
  18. @stormtracker @yoda @Ji sorry for your lack of sleep but on an up note it was really great to wake up to your PBPs and discussions in the two threads. Really helped get things oriented while sifting through the overnight runs. Gracias.
  19. Very glad that you get to be on the desk for something potentially historic down there , crossing fingers it holds
  20. When did east of C'ville turn into a desert? What's up with the GFS streaming precip to just west of C'ville and then pretty much drying it out? Weird depiction.
  21. i would take 6 inches from wave one and happily watch 6 inches for wave 2 fall in DC. win for a lot of us on that NAM
