  1. So are the rules that the long range discussion thread is only allowed to discuss winter weather? That’s not in the title. Spring is arriving. Which is weather related. Seems insane to have separate long range threads tracking the different kinds of weather we get in the spring.
  2. The Steelers have apparently decided to bring the corpse of Roethlisberger back for 2021. So, that's pretty great news for a lot of the other AFC north team fans on this board...
  3. I went from 7th to 9th. Just how small were those adjustments?
  4. Not a Washington football team fan, but that name should absolutely stay locked in as it currently is. Unique and cool.
  5. 12/16-17: 3.8" 1/26: .2" 1/31 - 2/2: 5.1" (4 inches day 1, remainder over next two days of the event) 2/7 - T (pretty much a total bust) 2/10 - 2/11 --- 4.2" 2/18 --- .8" (sleet accumulation) 2/22 --- .7 (snow & sleet) Season total 14.8"
  6. Not the heroes we deserve but clearly the heroes us lowlanders need...
  7. Changeover downtown to sleet. Maybe half an inch before changeover down this way?
  8. I have been here 11 years and still cannot manage to see an oriole in the wild (baseball player or bird). Do you put something in your lawn, on your trees, or in feeders to attract them? The birds that is. Not the players.
  9. Are you in Roland Park area for the day for work or other? If so, your measurements will be of interest to me since I can't take them as I will be downtown for work.
  10. Snow. instant sticking. Immediately one of the better events in my part of balt city this year, just based on quick start and instant impact. This season has been weird. Have to rely on other NW balt city folks if we accumulate, heading downtown for work now.
  11. (My sub-conscious, apparently, 48 hours ago) Hypothesis: Ice is hard Test: Fall down and see. Results: Confirmed, ice is hard. (Repeat as necessary to make sure)
  12. Yeah. Seriously. It crossed my mind on the third fall...
  13. We may have missed snow again this week in my zip code, but the .8 of sleet in my hood absolutely glaciated. To the point that I fell four, that's right FOUR times walking the pup this AM. Sore ribs and wrist but don't think I broke anything. That's six falls in two days, so...probably should stop falling. Absolutely dangerous as hell to this rapidly aging dude if you can't see bare pavement to step on. As frustrating as the overall winter has been in my part of the area, that's the third time this year we've been able to glaciate what has fallen and hold it for nice winter vistas for many days after the event. That's been nice.
  14. That contour through nw balt city showing me right on the no accumulation side of the cutoff looks absolutely perfect. King Nam.
  15. No, it shows that the portions of the board that live in and close-in to the cities has seen enough of marginal events in questionable air masses this season to wait and see if anything falls that is frozen before reacting at this point.
  16. It’s gorgeous out, dog loved it on our walk, but please take care, I fell twice and was extremely fortunate not to break my arm on the second fall. It is skating rink icy.
  17. It's just a few days out. Who's it hurting? I like to know when my next round of being attacked by a warm nose is coming.
