    Here is the 18z GFS for Winter storm chance for late next week. Long way to go, but I think this will be the first potential legit chance for accumulating snow in the LSV this season.

    Agreed, this Sunday night into Monday storm has been trending colder & more wintry for parts of central PA over the last couple of days on the models. Here is the 18z GFS.

    Yes, most 18z GEFS ensemble members somehow are very optimistic for our chances tomorrow with the change over. I’ll be happy with a slushy car topper.

    12z Euro as posted earlier also shows a potential Winter storm chance around the 21st. A period of interest to monitor.

    I think the committee will be looking hard at potential second round match ups. I think that keeps PSU out of the 8-9 match up because if PSU would win, that would set up a second round Oregon-PSU game in 2 weeks, which I don’t think the committee will want to happen for ratings, etc. Same thing with Georgia-Texas, they will keep them on separate side of the bracket to avoid an early rematch.

    We should be returning to a more favorable pattern, especially a few days before Christmas & beyond. The Look at the end of the 6z GFS is interesting with a storm system in the central states with a wall of highs across the northern states. It would have been interesting to see how that may have impacted Christmas in our region if the run extended another day or two.

    Yes, CTP has highs on Thursday & Friday barely getting to freezing.
