We have about.3 on the ground as well now here in Marysville with steady moderate snow continuing.
It’s a beautiful wintry Saturday morning. I just got back from a nice @Jebman walk. The cold & snow hitting my face was a dream that came true. I realize that this is only a minor event, but any snow just makes me so happy !
Please let us know how that initial band does for you.
Also, do you think the precip will begin to fill in more between the initial band & the main shield in Ohio ?
That forcing looks good for the LSV. Hopefully it will help to sustain good precip rates to fight off the mixing as long as possible tomorrow.
We will also need to keep our eye on the critical thickness levels as well.
Thanks @anotherman !
Here is the 18z Euro.
Between the 2 on the Euro & the 4 on the GFS for my yard, the 2-4 forecast from Monday going by storm type made by @Itstrainingtime looks to be on track, or should I say, on board !
The dew points are currently in the single digits across the eastern half of PA. This arctic air seems to be ready for a fight!
I am all aboard the @pasnownut snow train to max out this event tomorrow!
What a very interesting day of posting that I missed today while I was working....
Some folks should be happy that we have no moderator in our forum. Otherwise a few people might be heading towards being 5 posted...
Needless to say, it was entertaining.
Thanks to @pasnownut & @Bubbler86 for trying to actually post about the weather!
@MAG5035
There is a nice snow shower rolling through Marysville. There is a light covering outside again. I might need to put .1 or .2 in the books for today between the 2 snow showers.
The 0z GFS is starting to look like many of the runs from a few days ago that brought good snow to many of us.
The height of the storm in mid afternoon has moderate snow from around the turnpike & to the north from Carlisle & on to the east.
The trend is our friend so far with the NAM & now GFS tonight!
Well, if the NAM’s are right, you would get your win & so would @Itstrainingtime from his original forecast that he made several days ago for this event of 2-4 inches of snow.
The 18z GFS did not back down.
It has this event as a primarily snow event at the height of the storm from the turnpike on north once you get towards Harrisburg.
Yes, I passed through a light squall on 283 on the way home.
My wife & kids said when I got home that Marysville had a decent snow squall. The car tops have a solid coating of snow.
A couple of inches of snow packed down by sleet & a little freezing rain followed by a cold week is fine for me.
Then, hopefully it will be time to go big game hunting for a significant snowstorm the last week of the month!
