  1. These maps were issued recently by CTP. Expected & High end snow maps
  2. Even if MDT only gets around 3 inches of snow, they will be at “normal” average snow through Monday’s date with a seasonal total near 10 inches. If MDT gets closer to the 5 or 6 inches of snow, then MDT will be a couple of inches Above normal by Monday!
  3. The 12z ICON had another Warning level snow run for Harrisburg & York on north & west.
  4. You are right, but their other maps & products that they currently have out don’t agree with each other, hence my frustration.
  5. True, & it really doesn’t matter much, but some people & businesses might say, “No Watch here, no big deal” because there is no Watch despite their actual current forecast. I thought their main goal was to try to “protect life & property”?
  6. But this is more for the Harrisburg area than what they had yesterday.
  7. Again, based on this CTP map above, why no Watch for Dauphin county?!? More snow than York and similar amounts to Adams & Cumberland! It makes no sense. Do they not realize where the capital city is located? A watch might get some folks attention?
  8. Here is the latest from CTP. I-81 corridor right through the Harrisburg area is at 3 to 6 inches of snow on this map
  9. NAM then is blasting in the warmer air into PA by 10pm
  10. Dual lows, but NC low is the stronger of the 2 at this hour.
  11. Exactly. The snow needs to arrive ready to put down 1 inch per hour rates right away. This is the type of storm that can do it.
  12. The 6z ICON looks better than its last several runs. Warning level snow to Harrisburg.
  13. Some people should try to read more & post less… lol
  14. We won’t lose any flakes tomorrow due to initial temps or warm ground!
  15. They dropped most of the Harrisburg area & surrounding LSV from 6 -10 to 3-6, do that is a healthy drop.
  16. I was just thinking in general about our rare “great” coastal storms. By the time the storm approaches our latitude, we usually already have a really good amount of snow on the ground. There is usually a lot of precip well out ahead of the low as it gains latitude up from the gulf states. My point is that we can score decent snow with this storm by the time the low reaches southern VA or the DelMarVa, even if it then goes downhill after that for us.
